WOW I think I found my new favorite headphone. The bass is perfect for me, it has awesome treble and the mids aren't too recessed. I can't believe these only cost $119.

Just ordered them from Amazon for $119 + shipping. I wanted to try Ultrasone a long time ago but bought custom iems instead, now I'm buying full sized again. I've never really had a decent pair of headphones for bassy genres, I've always used grados for everything. :P

Xin Feng made a pretty small one that I could never get a hold of, RSA makes a pretty small one. They are out there, I'm wondering if there are things in the 150 range with a similar size and better SQ.

I never thought beats, bose or skullcandy was any good. Every time I listened to them at a demo stand I felt they were over priced for what you were getting.

For that amount of money I would buy a decent source then worry about headphones and amps.

Most of the time I do. It doesn't help if you tell them there are better things out there, they don't listen and are happy with whatever crap they have jammed in their ear.

Grado. You can't beat them for rock/metal.

They hold up pretty good. I gave my 12 year old brother a pair of SR60i's for his birthday last year. They still look and sound like new.

The HM-601 and quads both have smoothed treble and with the stock cable I thought it sounded horrible. The silver dragon cable did a little to fix it and it's tolerable now but I would rather listen to my ipod touch 2g. Quote:

Anyone have grados and the quads to compare the highs with? I didn't know you could ask them to increase the treble or I would have. I lovvveee the highs on grados.

I seen some guy wearing weird looking sony earbuds with fins that went behind his ears. Have no idea what they were but they looked out of the ordinary. Anyone have any idea what they were?

Refurbished is used/damaged and made new by the manufacturer by replacing major parts. Refurbished items may have slight cosmetic damage though. Used is well...used. You can save some pretty good money by going refurb and it will be like a new product.

Try contacting the people you purchased them from. It's very likely you will mess them up since it's pretty hard to put silicone back together once you tear into them.
