The rs2x will gain some thickness in the bass over some time of usage. I quite enjoy it for rap.

Rs2x is not thin and harsh at all on my setup . If I were to describe the sound it would be smooth, detailed , neutral ,good mids (but less warm than rs1x). I feel it's the grado that sound most monitor like if that makes sense.

I finally bought the hd660s2 , 15 years after I had sold my hd600. Pairs very well with my setup , offers a different sound from grado and stax.

When i just joined headfi , around late 2004 ( under different profile) , this amp was badly trashed by many for having cheap parts. Only a handful like zanith (if i remember correctly) praised it for being a good match with grado. Now I want to get one just for collecting as it's getting rare...

Yeah i'd love to see a comparison between the two. Sr007 can't do well with STAX amps , i remember the disappointment i had when pairing it with SRM 727 many years back. That's part of the reason why i moved to SR009S.

Never heard the ps2000e before so i can't comment . RS1X is a great headphone to me ,especially for its mid range! it just feels more forward sounding than RS2X

I ve heard the hd660s2 at can jam Singapore and for me it's obviously superior to hd650 after comparing them side by side. I may get one to add to my HP collection.

For sr009/sr009s , you only need a stax tube amp for eg srm700t , srm 500t or T1S , 007t/ii ,any one of them is fine. Based on my experience, Mjolnir audio range of amps ,though very good and powerful , are not suitable for 009/s imo. For source id recommend r2r dac

That's a great bargain! However I feel the corda jazz ff is all you need for grado headphones, no need for soul. BTW is soul made in China or Germany?
