I had the same problem. Unfortunately my N30LE AP#31 had to be returned to the factory. The replacement has been perfect since it was returned.

I had hissing on every setting on N30LE AP #31 now been replaced. So far seems ok.

This may help, I’ve returned my N30LE A P #31 and they’ve made another #31 to replace it.

I don’t know if this helps but HIFONIX in the uk has got a brand new N30LE Amber Pearl on the way back from the factory after being updated to the latest settings.

The N30LE #31 Amber Pearl IEMs are perfect. The problem I have using Focal Utopia headphones is with Cardas Clear cables. Both hiss & distortion on all settings. The Utopia Stock cables work fine.

Tried the Amber pearl iem tonight for the first time, no hiss no distortion just amazing sound quality. At least on my N30LE it proves to me that the cable makes all the difference, having problems with the cable I was using on the Utopia earlier. Then changing the cable solved all the problems...
