What’s with the really loud noise in Transparency mode, is that intended?? I don’t see how you could listen to anything in that mode

Yep they do. The really disappointing aspect is that Focal will not admit there is an issue. I contacted their support and they said they tested some new firmware, they responded saying that these headphones work as intended. So this means they intended the volume adjustment to be non-linear...

On iOS I don’t think so. On Samsung android there is an app called Sound Assistant but of course it refuses to install on my tab

That’s it, that’s the problem. It’s almost like it’s missing a step in there I have tinnitus so really don’t want to make it worse. Therefore I tend to listen at lower volumes but that lower step is too low that I can’t really hear the music :(

I am discovering the exact same issue as no.2 - I was thinking this was an iOS thing but if it's the headphones themselves then I will probably have to return, does anyone know of a workaround for this issue?

just got these headphones and noticed that when I take them off the music keeps playing, do they really not have head detection sensors? Seems bizarre :(
