    Many thanks for your answer PurpleAngel. The essesnce ST was popular specially for its headphone amp. Do you think any $100 dongle or device should sound better?. But what about a bit older ones like ifi nano?. Do you dare to give any models were an improve over the ST?

    no portable and not using headphones very often. Then the most interesting would be to use it as a dac and conect a good active speaker/s.     those things can be important but I think what makes a device more hifi are clarity, transparency, texture and when you hear things you couldn't hear with a cheap one. Can you comment something in this regard? Maybe is worth to wait for the dc06 pro?. Thanks.
