Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Let us know what they're like if you get a pair pls. Would be interested in these down the line if they don't muddy the sound at all. Graphs for wicked cushions were close but sounded very different to me in reality.

What're your use conditions when experiencing the crackling? I'm on my 2nd pair but neither of mine had/have this issue. With sidetone on I hear a faint static sound when sidetone volume is high but nothing unexpected for a device that uses microphones to relay sound after filtering out ambiant...

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

It did on my original set that lasted 5/6 months. Have you cranked the volume up quickly from cold, using a custom EQ at any point? A mate of mine did exactly that. Afterwards, that's what I heard. Thankfully, he replaced them.

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

To be honest I can see the value in PlayStation portal. Do I think it should be cheaper? Yes, definitely. Will I be buying one personally? No. Even when playing my Switch my preference is table top style so I'll continue to use remote play to my 12.5" Windows tablet paired with a Dualsense for...

I'd try a firmware reinstall if you've not already. Worth a try.

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Actually, One of PlayStation's reasons for purchasing Audeze is likely due to their new 'link' technology. It's the same tech the Maxwell's dongle uses. They could be compatible if Sony made it so but knowing Sony they'd prefer you drop more money on their new headsets/buds. Still I live in hope.

PlayStation should sort this out since they now own audeze. So no excuses Sony!

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Smaller niche though I suppose than the average gamer (non-competitive). I'm a fairly hardcore gamer but not so bothered about competitive gaming so I'd pick overall sound quality over footsteps etc. Any day. Very handy how easy it is to switch to different devices with these too. Never had a...

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

The PS5 volume setting should stay as you set it but each time you turn your Maxwell's on you'll need to use the volume dial to set as desired. It's a little annoying if you only use the headphones on the one system but after owning these now since June and realising how much I use them in...

I use PSVR2 quite often. Synth Riders is an insane workout. But as far as this tech for use in VR.. Surely the VR headset is already doing this? I'd assume this' just for flat gaming but then it comes off as a gimmick to me since you'd be looking forward at the screen 95% of the time anyway.

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

As a gaming oriented headset I find this feature pretty pointless in it's current state. I'd much prefer things like being able to control voice /chat mix from my headset on PS5. Surely this can be done now that Sony owns Audeze?

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Bass & treble. I find it really Immersive during gaming and brings any music I've listened to to life. These headphones handle volume really well and with these EQ's it raises the upper limit so I never have to crank it too high to hear what I'm looking for. Due to the thicker and more dense...

Wicked Cushions also create a stronger clamping force which keeps them on my head easier than the stock ones.

I prefer the sound of the stock pads but the wc are more comfortable in warm weather. It's not uncomfortable but my ears make contact with the driver cover using the stock pads and even slightly with wc but this depends how they're angled on my head.

That's true and my tastes aren't to most but I've listened to a lot of different genres with these to get a feel for them and found this works well for me overall. Give it a try, see how it sounds to you. Great if you want strong bass without losing anything else. To me at least.

But sounds soooo good through these. 👍 Music and PS5. Admittedly not for the faint of heart or those with low listening fatigue thresholds. Admittedly have to flip back to 'Immersive' if I'm really tired. Also rarely take it above 80/90% (less on average) volume with these, no need for me.

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Try these. First one (preset 2) I use with Wicked Cushions, second with stock pads. Turn your volume down to start. These might make your ears bleed. :L3000:

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Received my PS Maxwell's a couple of days ago. Ordered from audeze.co.uk 14th April. Wow! That wasn't my first impression using them (Android LDAC, Audeze + Immersive EQ's) but after a couple of tracks I started to pick up on what people say about planar magnetics. The detail, crispness...

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Yea just outside of warranty normally in my case. All headset's break eventually. For me it's about how well they can be repaired (without being noticeable preferably). So long as the driver themselves hold up for many years and Audeze sort out the firmware issues. For the upfront cost of...

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

I know, same. I'm more concerned about the amount of people's bands that are snapping from the spot welds holding them to the plastic bracket. From the pictures, I'd be tempted to use some JB weld with a huge :fingers_crossed:! It's this or having to pay to return them to the states, insured...

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Yes, I emailed to check as I was last told 20-30th June. Fastest response I think I've ever had from a merchant. He did confirm mine would definitely be sent with this batch so should get yours too finally.

Audeze - Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v63 and HQ v107 beta on June/12/24)

Heads up for anyone awaiting their pre-order of PS Maxwell in the UK. I've just had an email from Ben at Audeze.co.uk confirming my pre-order from 14th April will be sent out either by the end of the week or beginning of next. Restock is still on target. Tried to leave a message on their...
