I can see now that our colleague has already received RED and it is perfect with R26. With some frugal dac, if I wanted to "hear sound" from DSD records, I would probably enable DSD over PCM (DoP) function on RED as a quick and dirty solution.

I have had R26 at my home for a week and I can say it has been playing flawlessly from RED but I was mostly listening to PCM. Usually, with various dacs I did not experience any issues playing DSD from RED to dac via I2S so I believe it was working as well. I had no issues with this combination...

I think there was a similar issue reported but on an I2S connection. Then tumblers underside of RED can come handy.

I use Tidal connect every day. Stable, minimalistic setup. Last time I tested, there was no difference in sound or it was not big enough to stay with upnp+audirvana+tidal. I just go tidal connect in a few seconds if I want to listen to the music.

I think sinxer is a very capabale unit and it could be a close call. But the aim of reducing the number of boxes can definetely be achieved here. I guess you will have to just go ahead and find out yourself :)
