I leave all my equipment on all the time and have for decades. Turning electronics on and off also has an impact. My Venus II has been on since I got it, except for the swapping back and forth on the firmware. I can't tell anymore which I like better :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks for the detailed review. I am finding the same results. I went back to the old one for a few days just to re-acclimate. It always sounded good, but the new firmware just sounds more true to the recording to me. I am sure that our system synergies will have an impact on what we enjoy...

Well said as I have the same experience on my Venus II. I am settled on the new firmware and am spending time going through my library rediscovering additional nuances I had not been able to hear prior to the update.

I am super happy with the Sopra 3s they are so disappeared in the room. Music just occupies my space, I can really hear each recording for what is actually on the recording. On my system at least, I am sticking with the new firmware, it seems more to the point and it's uncanny good with DSD...
