Stax SR-X9000
The grill is not parallel to the driver, so if it reflects sound, it does reflect it from the driver away, so that it does not disturb or distort, what you hear. That's the idea behind it.- Thomsen132

Stax SR-X9000
I think, the grill has not been constructed to reflect sound in any way....it is exactly the opposite. It's build to be as open and non-reflective as possible. If Stax wanted to achieve some kind of front localisation, they did this with angled pads. From the original description of SR-X9000...- Thomsen132

I won't start with my issues with my Carbon 😁. And believe me, it has issues, tonally and technically. Do what ever you like to do or not. Much fun with it - Thomsen132

The Stax Thread III
Since 3 weeks i own a High-Amp Polaris V3 to drive my SR-X9000. It's a real powerhouse of a solid state amp with 610 Vrms and 1720 Vss. It surpasses my Mjölnir Carbon in some disciplines like resolution, pin point localisation and even the depth of bass and bass punch is at least as good or...- Thomsen132

DENAFRIPS FPGA Firmware Update (12TH Anniv.)
I got a mail some days ago, that vinshine has relaunched their website. Maybe the links are dead because of that. But there's a link on the denafrips homepage. Hope, it helps :-) https://www.denafrips.com/firmware-update- Thomsen132

Which amount? Nobody knows, if and how big any rabatts could have been given to you. I don't say, that you got any discount. I just say, that your invoice doesn't say anything about that :)- Thomsen132

THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO
An order confirmation without the price, that has actually has been paid, is completely senseless. It could also be given to the receiver of ghe Composer, just to ensure guarantee whilst the price was 0. No offense, but think about it. Don't say, that it was like that. I just say, this is no...- Thomsen132

THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO
Ok, so the Composer might not be a good allrounder? Not made for intense music? Preference for classical music or acustical instruments? I'm sure, you will tell me, that this could never ever be true  A little bit like a robot ;-)- Thomsen132
