Does the Innuos PULSE support Tidal Connect ? I looked at their website but could'nt find any information....

....at least. Ignore the chi-fi DAC. It is just a provost (Denafrips Venus II 12.1 is on it's way). I let the Niimbus play this way at least for 100 hours before I get into a longer listening session..... All I can say for the moment - everything is working.... ....and I still like this...

Thanks for your replies. I ordered a Niimbus US 5 Pro (this is a neutral, clean, transparent but dynamic playing amp). My plan is to pair a Denafrips Venus II 12.1 with it + a Denafrips Hermes or Gaia DDC over I²S. Plan B would be a Delta/Sigma DAC (Gustard X26 Pro).

Is the Venus II 12th one of the faster sounding R2R DACS (EDM and rock tunes) ? I've red more than one time that R2R dacs are not the fastest ones in general (the most natural sounding but not the fastest sounding).

I'm looking for a new R2R DAC. I'm torn between a Denafrips Venus II 12.1 and a Musician Aquarius. The higher models from this companies are overkill for me to be honest.... How would you describe the tonality of the Venus 12.1 R2R DAC... I prefer a more neutral / organic with no rolled off...

It looks like when I'm buying a Musician Audio DAC I won't get any firmware- / driver-updates. That's why I'm still torn between a Musician Aquarius and a Denafrips Venus II 12th.... As a Denafrips DAC owner I will get regularly those updates.....

I just bought a SMSL D1se2 and when I take a look into it's menu I see under the PCM filter option a "No Filter" setting. Since this is a Delta/Sigma DAC it can't operate in "NOS mode" by design. So what's the deal with this setting ? Any idea ?

@jonathan c That's quite an impressive list, mate.... The "problem" is that the Taurus is much bigger in size than the Niimbus.... I'm also limted in (Desktop)space....

Which DAC would you recommend for the Niimbus US5 Pro (in terms of synergy) ? I have a Musician Audio Aquarius on top of my list. 4000 € is my limit....

@alekc I'm no basshead but I need to ask: The Niimbus doesn't have natural / lifelike bass ?

@thecrow Well, I've red and heard in several reviews that the Susvara (when not properly- / underpowered) lacks of bass slam.... @ChJL Drink some White Russians and go bowling....
