You wouldnt want to touch ANY of the tubes whatsoever. They are red hot, not warm. Cayin is a Class A design so i understand so its always FLAT OUT.

They are good ... but they are not close the 6S5S! 6S5S is refined and dynamic. Gave my head a right workout! The pinnacles are awesome for cheap tubes though and i also have two sets with spares! Great to have more flavours of a good thing. BUT ... the 6S5S is something else!

My understanding is that Cryllic 6S5S is really 6c5g russian version. Im starting to go through 6c5g now and its interesting, but not yet received the russians! You do have to be careful not to pick up russian rectifiers by mistake lol they are useless in this amp!

It a great point that it cannot be compared against without owning it. Makes future reviews of other headphones a little more questionable. I was a touch dissapointed that the susvara re-review brought no mention of modded cayin 300b after his incredibly glowing response to it first time...

I grew up with speakers and chased Hifi for my teen to adult life. One of the best systems i heard but did not own was some Audio Note AN-J silver rewired. Incredible and lifelike speakers. Some of focals utopias have impressed with soundstage presented top to bottom as well as left to right...

I went from a good stereo dual power amp & sub system to Susvara. For me nothing images like Susvara, Interesting how we each enjoy something different. The only thing i miss is true sub bass which a headphone will never manage.

The room treatment point is the one reason why i now use headphones. you cannot control smearing and wave reinforcement / or holes formed in frequency ranges without adequate room treatment. I just dont need to think about it with susvaras, flat control for perfect response. No room nodes to...

LOL! Im king of kodge ... but thats a step too far for me LOL! I would discuss with Hifiman. If not under warranty, then have an electrician resolder or replace. NO SUPER GLUE :)
