I was going to upgrade from a bifrost 2/64 to a Gumby but saw a local deal for a Yggy+ LIM. Was too good to pass up. Definitely some magic.

When I ordered my CO I ordered the BBB as an accessory but asked and ZMF installed it for me before shipping it out. Definitely email them and they’ll get you sorted.

Definitely this! I could happily own just the Aegis and be fully happy. But sometimes I just have 30 minutes and want to listen to music. Or I forgot to turn on the tube amp to warmup. And thats why I keep a solid state around.

I've been using the DIY Aegis with RCA outs from my Schiit Bifrost 2/64 and it sounds amazing. Its not going to sound bad coming from RCA.

Gotcha. Would've thought that for warranty repairs both ways would be covered. But I guess one way is better than none. Recently acquired a Yggy+ LIM so fingers crossed won't run into any issues. Upgraded from a Bifrost 2/64.

If the unit is faulty don't they cover shipping for the repairs?

I definitely love the Aegis with all my ZMFs. I don’t even get tempered by other tube amps anymore

Gotcha. My V281 reissue should be arriving end of this week hopefully. How long would you recommend burning it in for? Does burning it in just mean leaving it on or there has to be an audio signal playing through it with headphones plugged in?

Are you finding any differences in sound between the OG and the reissue?

Really considering picking one up. For those who have ZMFs, how do you find the synergy with ZMFs? I have both dynamic driver and planar ZMFs. Also is there a way to change impedances? Or its just one impedance.

Caldera Open pairs amazing with the upcoming ZMF Aegis (I have the DIY version). I'm assuming that the Caldera Closed would pair the same. Am really tempted to pickup the Violectric V281 reissue though. Heard it at CanJam and really like what I heard.
