Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

How does the amp perform on the SE and balanced end? I currently use a magnius/modius/heresy stack, I've been thinking about treating myself to an endgame class A amp for headphones.

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I really enjoy the comfort and isolation on them as well! I'm not the most familiar with foam tips, as prior I was mostly an over-ear person. Wouldn't the foam tips degrade over time? Ideally i'd like to stock up in advance but also get more for my IE200, is there any particular place to get them?

In regards to different ear tips which ones do you all enjoy? I'm in the market for different tips ideally ones with a filter/mesh on them to avoid ear wax build up on IEM nozzle itself, I currently use foam medium tips and I really enjoy them so far, but I'd like to see what else is out there...

Save the date: a Sennheiser CES debut

I would love to see a closed back of something from the 600 line-up or a successor to the HD800s.

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I've had it since yesterday and I can confirm it works well! I really like it. Regarding hart audio I can't say I always bought hart audio cables for better sound, moreso to support a company I like and to get a nice cable out of it that fits in their interconnect system. Sometimes though, it...

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

Ah gotcha! Thank you for your reply, just ordered one myself. I had already picked up a hart audio cable for it, but unfortunately the sleeve came out of the connector after only having it for 10 days, I did send them a email and I've only had good interactions with them, so I expect to get it...

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I don't happen to see it on amazon (in the US) The listing only shows regular MMCX, I see an option for recessed 2 pin however. Is the regular MMCX the one to get?

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I picked up my pair a few days ago, been really enjoying them. I use the medium foam tips and that tends to give a nice seal, the less said about the silicon tips the better though. In regards to tips, where might I buy the foam tips, but also what alternative tips does everyone prefer if any?

Discover a new world of sound: Make way for the IE 200

Is there any issues with condensation and channel imbalance? I wear my IEM's to sleep (I sleep on my back and play music very low) due to being in a very loud environment, my moondrop Arias seem to have this issue alot.

Calling all HD 800, HD 800S, and HD 8XX owners

I love my pair of HD800s, but my only gripes that I think many other people have are the connectors, using something like even the connectors on the 600 line up, mini 4-pin, etc would all be a much needed change in my opinion. On a more subjective note I think having a little more linear...

Introducing the CORINA Electrostatic Reference Headphone

While this might be slightly off topic but, how do electrostats differ from dynamics or planars, what benefit or draw is there to using one? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question but i'm actually not that well educated on electrostats.

On the quest for a travel case I came upon the Ether case from DCA audio, I happen to like the travel case that the DCA closed X came in and the listing for it mentioned that consumers reported that it fit the HD800, so I figured why not? Having just got them I can say that they fit perfectly...

Looking to consolidate DAC, AMP & ADAC into one box

Good afternoon everyone. Like the thread title I want to consolidate all my things into ideally one box able to drive my current stack of headphones, future IEM's, with a decent DAC and also be able to serve as an input for my RE320 mic. I've been eying the RME ADI-2 as an example. It ticks all...

I would strongly recommend hart audio cables if that's an option, no snake oil, but the ability to change terminations was a game changer for me, as someone who changes around systems alot, and interoperability is so convenient, plus the cables are lightweight and feel nice.

Anyone use a case for the HD800s? I travel fairly often and want to take them with but not in like a pelican case, something that can fit flatly in a backpack ideally or suitcase. Warning click bait: I hate to EQ

I do plan on shifting over to a linux distro for my windows desktop when not gaming (rare enough as it is lol) and i'm leaning strongly towards mint. I'd like to get audio sorted out on that front; what would you recc for EQ and flac/mp3 playback? I would prefer system wide EQ though.

Warning click bait: I hate to EQ

I think the above posts have already iterated what I would say about EQ, so operating under the assumption of you wanting to use EQ. If you use sound source I strongly recc opening the native apple plugin AUNBandEQ, you get up to 16 bands and can pick the frequency, BQ, gain, etc. It's very nice...

I saw eqMac as well and while it was really impressive in terms of GUI and functionality I'm not a fan of software that requires a subscription. After about a week of listening to these stock, I REALLY enjoyed the soundstage, tonality, comfort, and fit of these headphones. I'm fine with trading off bass a little to get that. I didn't really understand what people meant when they said that some headphones were fatiguing, but I think I do...
