I would say for the universal version I own, with silicone it's a little bit more muffled than an open back but not much isolation. With foam, like symbio F or marshmellow from campfire I think it is a lot better, but still not the most isolating iem out there.

I will say the Universal Moonstone I have is the most comfortable IEM I have ever owned. It protrudes a little bit, but it has no pressure on any part of my ears. YMMV and all that.

Even though it is kinda old news, I find the CP155s to be game changers for the EXT. Immediately the most comfortable iems I own with these tips.

I am recently a proud owner of the VE EXT. I was wondering if anyone uses foam tips with them, and if so, which ones will be able to fit on the wide nozzles. Am currently using the xlastics and have cp155s on the way.

I appreciate the clarification. I'm hoping this is the case as well. I have had large iems before, and I find usually it is the body of the iem and less the nozzle that bothers me. Monarch Mk2 I loved the sound. Yet, the body dug into my left ear too much and I had to let them go.

I also have this concern. I placed my order through an authorized dealer for this exact reason. I am pretty confident it will be fine but would like the option of a return if they do end up being problematic.

The above reply is correct. I'm using Symbio F tips medium size. They have a decently wide bore. I feel they tame the treble just a little bit and enhance bass. I'm also a foam tip user mostly. I just find them more comfortable.

Oh man what a great list of impressions from Canjam! As someone who is waiting on an order of VE EXT, what did you like about the new VE prototype pink over the EXT? I feel like I have not seen very much on the new VE protos and am curious of your thoughts.
