Been toying with the idea of flogging my Bathys for a while now. Probably best to do it before the new version comes out and the price of mine goes through the floor.

I doubt very much that the hardware has changed - only a new colour option as far as I'm aware.

Yeah I have done this, hence why I'm convinced the personalisation switches off in DAC mode.

My hearing must be poor as the personalisation makes a big difference for me. This is how I notice the change when in DAC mode.

Can anyone say categorically that the Mimi sound personalisation carries through when in DAC mode? I know people say it should, but I'm convinced that it doesn't.

By the time the battery is kaput the technology will probably be defunct or there will be much better bluetooth options available at least, so I wouldn't let that be a consideration personally.

You can never go wrong with black in my opinion. I've bought headphones in beige/cream before and always tend to regret it after a while.

I agree they're not the best for walking - strange thudding sound comes from your footsteps which is a bit disconcerting. For me the ANC is fine though, not as good as Sony but not bad at all. If you decide against Bathys, I wouldn't opt or Sony personally. PX8 is a great commuter headphone and...

Same for me, I'm now hearing instruments in higher pitches that were hidden previously. It's cool that you can change it in real time so you know you're not imagining the improvement.

It's certainly great for me and the difference I'd not subtle. I'm guessing the impact will vary based on how the Bathys fit your head. The improvement on mine is so significant that I assume I have quite a poor fit and so mimi is making big changes to accommodate this.

Yeah I'm definitely getting more fatigue with the mimi but maybe that's just my brain adjusting. It's genuinely like a different pair if headphones - I didn't realise how bad my hearing is... its funny as like you say it already sounded great until I heard the new improved version.

Is there a way to not get a delay when linked by bt to tv? It's not massive but enough to be annoying.

I'm not advocating spending 2k though, just not buying the cable. I love my Bathys.

It seems crazy to me that people would shell out $150 for extremely marginal improvements on a $600 pair of headphones. Might as well just buy a more expensive pair rather than an overpriced cable.

I would definitely take the Sony's over the Bathys for gym use due to the weight and ANC as well as caring much less about breaking them. My problem is that I find it hard switching between them as the Sonys sound so poor in comparison. The difference is massive in my view.

It's an interesting review. It's kind of a tough sell as he's openly admitting that early adopters of these headphones are being ripped off but that we should support the innovation by coughing up. OK for those with 2.7k to blow on a pair of wireless cans I guess. Poor folk like me have to wait...
