Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I'm not. I'm simply asking for DAC recommendations.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

As an aside, anyone have any DAC recommendations for PS5? Looking for something that allows me to make my own EQ and still use the Tempest 3D engine.

Guess this explains the battery life. This is actually extremely annoying. Such little transparency on these things.

Through the headset, yes. The playstation directly allows you to mix game and chat, but you need to go through the menus or if you have an edge, you can use the function buttons.

You need to be in a party to mix game and chat.

Something can be true and misleading at the same time.

This would be some misleading marketing practices. @Audeze, what say you?

The latest wireless connection can be stated because it has updated BT connection, it doesn't directly suggest it doesn't have 2.4Ghz. The last quote, I believe refers to the wired USB audio connection, it doesn't mention wireless at all. Either way, I wonder if Audeze would directly confirm...

Hmm. I'm not saying your wrong, but it's hard to believe. Latency aside, I couldn't imagine the mic quality being as good through the dongle as it is with the limited bandwidth BT has. Even with high end codecs, it's still not that good. They do have LC3PLUS codec, but you don't need the dongle...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I tried tweaking it for COD, I got it better, but still not as well EQ'd as my Astros. I was mainly referring to the EQ I made for music listening was a huge improvement. I'm hoping GT releases his EQ for COD to fix the ear bleeding explosions while keeping the footsteps. Hopefully some day...

There is no way the dongle uses a BT connection. It would be too much latency for gaming. The dongle should be a 2.4Ghz connection.

I already had it downloaded from the Penrose days. I just updated it. I didn't have any problems pairing. Just paired through my phones normal process and when I opened the app it was there (which never works for my V-Modas).

1 hr with custom EQ and I'm dramatically happier with the Maxwell then I was before. I was ready to send this damn this back LMAO. I'm just gonna ignore this channel imbalance stuff yall talking about because I don't know what that means and ignorance is bliss. Just need Gadgetry Tech to drop...

I play on PS5 and have fully updated both the headset and dongle and I'm not having any problems. I can't get anywhere near 100% volume. What did you guys do to your eardrums? Lol

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I agree. Personally, I don't think this headset sounds good for MW2 out of the box. Tbh, I'm still using my Astros for COD. When we get custom EQ, I'm hoping Gadgetry Tech releases some good EQ for the game. Audeze was on to something with footsteps, but they need to drop sub-base, upper mids...

That's tough. I have it off personally. My friends have said my voice sounds too processed with it on. Personally, my room is pretty quiet, so it's not a huge deal for me, but I can see scenarios where someone wants sidetone off, but AI filtering off.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

A lot of people were complaining about it hearing a buzzing sound and thought the headset was faulty, not knowing it was just background noise in the room coming through sidetone. Either way theres 0 reason not to update, it saves your settings. The default is only for the first time you use...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Any chance in a future updates we can select the frequency we're tuning in Audeze HQ? Looking at the app for Penrose you can only change fixed frequencies, but software like Astro's allows us to change whatever frequency range we want and how wide the impact radius is. Overall, I'm pumped to...
