Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
If you set the latency to 0 on JEP it actually = 10. The lowest setting on JEP is 1 (1 = 2 = 3). So if you pick 3 from the drop down menu you're at the lowest setting. Sorry to burst your bubble! I agree that 2.6.0 is marvellous. I also can't go to the lowest setting in Event mode...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
JEP 2.4.6 is trully outstanding. (Fred, I hope you managed to get some sleep, after all that!). To try and describe the sound quality of this final version doesn't do it justice. It is ultra transparent, has a very low noise-floor, lifelike tonal colour. And what wonderful dynamics. ...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
JEP's architecture requires a short gap between the loading of individual files. No, there is no processing of any kind, just the prudent use of memory and threading. To be honest, I've never participated in a forum with such blind negativity from certain quarters. Like ThinkSpace, I...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
The response of those who only want a player that can handle FLAC is trully fascinating to me. Doesn't every audiophile want the best sound in their setup? Doesn't that involve trial and error? Listening? That's what we do, folks! All you have to do is try JEP. It would take a few minutes to...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Jie Extreme Player 2.4.5 was waiting for download in my inbox when I arrived home from New Year's Eve celebrations in the wee hours of this morning, and what a wonderful start to 2013 it has proved to be! This time last year I was sitting on the fence overlooking the fast growing field...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
And I've finally found the cause of the bug, ThinkSpace. It was the AudioServiceTSOP you offered on an earlier post. I deleted these six files from System32 and replaced them with the original W8 ones...No more problems. JEP 2.4.4 is obviously not compatible with that optimisation pack. ...- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Quote: Thanks for the reply. But what exactly is the 'standard' WAV file? Does is contain any kind of tag? I've tried clearing all tags using dbPoweramp. I've also renamed individual files starting with the track number (01, 02, 03 etc). But I'm still experiencing this problem.- goldiver

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
I'm running the latest JEP, 2.4.4 (AVX), on a dedicated audio PC and it sounds better than any other audio player for Windows - and I've tried them all and keep track of updates. Jie Extreme Player is brilliant. I only have one problem: the latest JEP will miss certain tracks when I'm playing a...- goldiver
