This is a nice thought experiment at this point -) A reason for example coubld be the possible dampening effect of the tissue between the outer ear and the bones. If the distance from the ear canal to bones is shorter, than it makes sense to focus the vibrations there.

Wait, did you look up the working mechsnism of a generic BCD, or Weapon X specifically? If it’s the former, I might still be right actually

Well, it had been my understanding until now that WeaponX BCD transmits the vibrations through the nozzle’s touch in the ear canal, rather than the shells touching outer ear, and all other BCDs conducted via the latter mechsnism. Thanks for this

Thanks for clarifying this. Do you think the sonion BCDs were more effective than WeaponX? WeaponX works through the nozzle, do Sonion BCDs work the same way or through the shells?

I might be wrong but Novus doesn’t have WeaponX BCD. Anyone can confirm?

Could you explain the change in sound between v1 and v2? Did you manage to A/B them? I'm still holding on to my v1 -)

Hi Joe, PEQ is huge! Quick question. I don't know if it makes sense: Which of the plug ins are different forms of EQ, and which change other sound characteristics? We have DRX10K, Mastermind, Sound field and Convolution.

To me it's just amazing, together with the dynamics plug in. The presets are ordered in ascending bassyness.

Actually, the text says they use two BCDs from Sonion, so I'm assuming these aren't EE's proprietary BCDs. If memory serves me right, sonion BCD's work through the shell, while EE BCD through the tips, so it's going to be a different expedience. My bet would be on Raven still.

A bit late to the party, but have you tried to pair Raven with RS8? I can get EVO bass from Raven playing with settings on RS8 (Mastermind -> Vinyl, Dynamics -> Bass), while not breaking most of Raven

there is a trick that keeps the slider in place: after getting the slider in place you can rotate the bottom part of the cable by one round. with that the two cables going into the slider curl a bit under the slider and slider doesn't move

Anecdotally, I remember getting Raven to give EVO level lows. They have the same driver config for lows, so it should also be possible on paper. I remember putting on the final e tips, EQ lows up a bit (through EQ or mastermind plugin) and use dynamics plugin from RS8 for lows

My unit occasionally turns off while charging. Your nr2 might be aligned with that. I didn't think it was a big issue though since I use CR08 almost exclusively for charging
