I would say if you are currently flush with cash, I would think the Liric II would be the better way to go. As others have said, it is future proofing you a bit with the pads and it is the latest tuning. I haven’t heard the Liric II but own two pairs of the OG and love them.

I found that if you take a Kara remote and an Yggdrasil/Bifrost remote and place them back-to-back, the magnets attach. I keep them attached and have a two-faced Schiit remote…or a two-Schiit-faced remote depending on how I feel that day. 😊

Not on its own. Pre-emphasis is handled by the optical player/transport before the data reaches the external DAC. If you no longer use a player/transport, you can de-emphasize the files using software before your file player sends the data to the external DAC.
