Yeah, indeed, it definitely does. Honestly, it's proposition of being a microcomputer with the whole set of features it has plus it's upgradability/replaceability sounds like something that will attract many users, if only for the price. I hope the non bespoke version really starts gaining...- AudioNewbie76

Tried these back at CJ SG. Don't think my ears are really good enough to appreciate these, but they definitely do not come across as a BA set to me, which is what surprised me when I learned it was, espescially a single one. I believe out of all, the ability to upgrade these are the absolute...- AudioNewbie76

I'm aware neither of these sets are Planars, but how does the PR2 compare against the EA500 and ER2SE, espescially in technical performance?- AudioNewbie76

Graphically, they measure quite closely to the PR2's(on Ian's Squig), wonder how they stack against each other- AudioNewbie76

What other Planars do you have? I'm mainly interested where it stacks up against other Planar magnetic technically, so any set you're familiar with will work- AudioNewbie76

Not surprised if that happens, I'm close to pulling the trigger for the PR2's, but there's a thought in the back of my head that's telling me that a PR2 Pro or the like will come out before June starts, so I've yet to order the PR2- AudioNewbie76

Rather, I think they'd likely come up with a "new gen" driver if they're trying to increase sensitivity- AudioNewbie76

I've seen two seperate photos that are supposedly by Tyvan, one states that it's a PR1 Pro Retune another states that it's a PR1 retune, so honestly I'm not sure which it is. I suspect it's the PR1 Pro though, the magnet classification on the PR2 is the same as those on the PR1 Pros, not the OG...- AudioNewbie76

Earbuds Round-Up
Could you name some well known makers of DIY buds? The only ones I'm familiar with are TGXEar and Rikubuds, but if there's any other I could look out for, it'll be great if you could tell me- AudioNewbie76

Earbuds Round-Up
Have been listening to Vidos recently, and for under 5 bucks? Damn do they impress. I have been considering an upgrade however, something under 30USD with a more neutral tonality, or anything similar (i.e. analytical), do any of y'all have suggestions? I've been leaning towards the EB2S and the...- AudioNewbie76

Has anyone here tried the Ucotech RE-2? I've seen it mentioned a few times as a potential neutral contender for sub 200, but info on it is limited, with only a singular graph out so far. It looks quite promising, I wonder if it can stand toe to toe with the ER2SE(and according to a singular...- AudioNewbie76

I think what people like about the Etymotic DD is they reach close to the ER3 lineup in technicalities, while retaining a more natural timbre, with the bonus of it being cheaper. Haven't heard the ER2XRs sufficiently, but I do have their MK5s, and those hit neutral quite well, with a snappy DD...- AudioNewbie76

I expect the smaller diaphragm of the RPD to contribute in its better treble response but poorer bass response. If Kinera is releasing a new SPD though, I'm curious on seeing where that ends up going. Although, I am curious, what advantages does an SPD have over a traditional DD and/or Planar...- AudioNewbie76

A Sub 200 Orch Lite would be cool, although that will show a lack of creativity on their part, as skillful as it might be to achieve similar performance and tonality for the price. While I lack actual experience with either, graph wise, the Calla looks to lean towards a v shaped signature, while...- AudioNewbie76

Review by 'AudioNewbie76' on item 'Etymotic Research Isolator MK5 Noise-Isolating In-Ear Earphones'
This is basically my first time writing a review, so I hope most would be able to excuse my poor writing and formatting. I had not planned to even write one, but after giving these a relisten, I personally feel the MK5's are quite an underappreciated set, and I'm hoping my amateuristic review...- AudioNewbie76
