🤷‍♂️ I love the Dekoni velour pads on GH2 and Hemp. Comfortable to wear (in contrast to L or F) and the sound is full and vibrant 👌

I have the straight velour (non-fenestrated) ones and love them with Hemp and GH2. Orders of magnitude more comfortable than the scratchy, ear-flattening stock pads, all the details are present and because they're over-ear you get a bit more isolation from outside sounds. 👍

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience with them. :frowning2: I've had the GR8es for a number of years and never had any issues - and I listen to a lot of electronic music that has plenty of bass. If they're distorting so much is there a possibility you could be over-driving them?

They certainly look identical to the Dekoni velour pads...

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now

Thanks for the advice - as it happens I'm really not bothered by it: it's noticeably stronger than, say, Meze 99 Classics or Focal Radiance, but not uncomfortable. At this stage it feels reassuring more than anything! I'd prefer it this way than the 'phones sliding around if I move my head.

I've already had them do my Hemps!

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now

I've got Dekoni velour pads which I'm using on the Hemps (and enjoy better than the stock pads) - I could try them on the GH2s as well. Sadly the clunky cable is pretty annoying :(

Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now

I got these headphones a couple of months ago and I absolutely LOVE them. I'm not very good at describing the technicalities of sound but there's something so physical about what they produce - really feeling the pluck of a guitar string or the 'ting' of a cymbal. Maybe it's 'separation' that...

No - I'm sorry - I wasn't intending to criticise anything about you or your post. I apologise unreservedly if it came across that way. I was just voicing my opinion (perhaps redundantly) that whilst a manufacturer might be justified in specifying how they should sound, they are on shakier ground...

I do agree that, to a certain extent, if a manufacturer says: "this is how they're meant to sound" that's fair enough; however, for me the other piece of the puzzle is comfort. Do I actually enjoy having them on my head for an hour? That, way more than sound, was my major motivation for 'pad...

Thanks - good to hear that it's different as that's what I'm interested in. I tried HD660s but didn't find them that engaging - was hoping that T1.3 would add a little more velvety warmth.

@Stevko I notice you have the Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Generation along with a few Grados - I've been eyeing up the T1 3rd Gen myself - how do you think it compares with / complements the Grados?

Hi all, been reading this thread for a while and really appreciate what a positive and friendly place Grado-land seems to be! Almost complete absence of the kinds of jiggly arguments that often dominate online forums. Must be linked to how happy Grado headphones make everyone feel?! I got my...

Review of the Little-Dot MKIII Tube Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp

Hello, I'm hoping this will be a reasonable place to post this question, rather than starting a brand new thread somewhere: I'm reasonably new to this game but acquired a Little Dot MkIII second-hand (they don't seem to be easy to get new in the UK...). I'm running it with a Topping DX3 Pro+...
