Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
For me, the custom fw and longevity of the 1A and 1Z is a "miracle". I have been looking for a long time for a portable DAP with the best sound and reasonable weight. And VOILÀ, thanks MrWalkman, here we go :)- Sibimi

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
I totally agree, we should be grateful that @MrWalkman is willing to devote so much time to this, without pay. No one is entitled to any upgrade, and even if @MrWalkman kept the modifications to himself, we have no right to complain in any way. I'm happy to wait for a new upgrade, and if it...- Sibimi

Yes, that's what I normally use, but I haven't tried another settings much. I'm wondering if anyone has tried set the DAP directly for the U12T :)- Sibimi

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
I totally agree, without curiosity and trial it is useless. it's like with new music, sometimes a person find something new that takes his breath away, sometimes he comes back. I'll look at those cables. I'm happy with u12t, I just don’t have much compared, everything is therefore an attempt...- Sibimi

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
Thanks, that's an awesome description and no matter what everyone comes up with, it's ultimately tempting to give it a try. Now I'm waiting until I have my DAP with me on Friday or Monday and looking forward to getting started. In the meantime, I'm gathering ideas and information and learning...- Sibimi

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking about a modified wm1a but it's not easy to buy it... I have an sr15 and I'm looking for something with significantly better sound, but still usable as a DAP for getting around the city.- Sibimi
