Vote for the Best review in DUNU DN-12 Trident review event.
must say i don't like the precedent being set here, that we now give away free products to people who offer favorable reviews. is this how things are usually done on head-fi these days? did any of these members even purchase these iems to begin with or were they all gifted at the review event...- Toad

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Thanks for the advice guys, I guess I'll probably stick with my current setup and pass on the lcd2 at this time. I would've liked to have been able to order them and test them for myself, but not at the risk of having to pay a 15% restocking fee should they not mesh well with my amp...Oh well, I...- Toad

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Just got my email to purchase my lcd2, however after reading some of the more recent posts I'm a bit worried if my WA6 (maxed with pdps) is sufficient. Currently I'm driving a pair of rs1s with it and very happy. Will the lcd2 be a substantial upgrade over my rs1 or does the WA6 not really offer...- Toad

Quote: Thanks for the info, Larry. That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I haven't been to this site in a while (coming here too often isn't healthy for my wallet), so I'm a bit out of touch with what is current and just trying to catch up now. It seems LCD-2 is pretty popular and well...- Toad

So I haven't bought anything in a while and have been getting an itch to try a new pair of headphones. I have a maxed WA6 with pdps and am looking to buy either the LCD-2 or T1. Currently I use my RS1 and I really like those (I also mainly listen to rock music). Sooo, which headphone do...- Toad

Better upgrade route, HD800/Amp or Stax?
Currently my setup is Squeezebox > DLIII (level 4 mods) > upgraded wa6 (everything except the stepped attenuator) > RS1/HF2 I've had the desire to try new headphones/equipment for a while now, but have been very pleased with my current setup that I really haven't pursued much else...- Toad

Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Earphones for $99 at Amazon!
just grabbed a pair of the vi myself...i purchased the re0 recently as my first in ears and figure it'd be worth trying this pair out seeing what a great deal it seems to be...if they don't offer me any significant improvement over the re0 (i don't necessarily need the mic, tho it would come in...- Toad

Good PS upgrade for the squeezebox touch
a simple search would help you...with that said, I am using and recommend the one from CIAudio...I'd also recommend avoiding Bolder Cable Co and Welborne Labs, but those are the three companies I know of that make power supplies for the squeezebox, though I don't know if any of them have...- Toad

Fiio E1 Headphone Amplifier
I'm pretty interested in either the E1 or the E5. I have to assume the E1 will hurt the battery more than the E5. Have you done any comparisons between the E1, E5, and an ipod/iphone running with nothing connected but headphones to show what affect these devices might have on battery life? Thanks- Toad

I have to say I'm a bit surprised to hear the Sophia Princess 274b is dying on people early. I've had mine for over a year now and have yet to experience any problems with it at all. Not that I think it makes any difference, but I bought mine directly from Sophia Electric and not from Jack. At...- Toad

I totally agree with you, atbglenn. I know Jack has an account here (WooAudio), though I'm not sure how frequently he checks it, maybe try sending him a PM. I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's away, but I feel he just doesn't want to waste his time building adapters when he...- Toad

are you looking to go balanced? Personally, I would avoid buying from them until they get their quality control together. Too many people have had issues with their equipment to continue to patronize them.- Toad

Woo WA22
Thanks for the review HPA, I have the same exact WA6 setup as you from the tubes down to the DAC and I've been wanting to go balanced for quite some time so I'm glad to hear that the WA22 sounds significantly better in your/my setup. Do you have any idea on how big of a difference the tube...- Toad
