May be slightly premature/not enough data but: Is Immanis generally easier to drive than Susvara? What are some good DAC/amp combos that theoretically can drive both? I'm asking because I'd have to stretch for my dream (long-game, not end-game) setup and wanted to ideally not have to change...

The Immanis, because of this thread, seem to be the most exciting news I’ve heard all year in audio. If these can dethrone Susvara, my shopping list will definitely change for this year. Curious to hear more impressions and (hopefully) my own!

It really depends — for me: in a quiet environment, an open-back headphone like Susvara is always going to be better. When there is a need to be in a loud place, closed-back headphones are always better. When there is a need to travel/remain portable (imagine traveling with a Susvara chain lol)...

Probably not possible, since it’s a pre-order and probably in high demand at least initially. According to Joe, it’s easier to drive than the TC but harder to drive than the MR.

What's with all the hate for Abyss / Diana DZ on Reddit? Did I miss something and all of a sudden Abyss is "uncool"? Or is /r/headphones just full of gamer-audiophiles with <$250 budget?

My understanding is that the TC is a bit of a scalpel, a tool, while the DZ has a bit of a more audiophile grade tuning… a more enjoyable listening experience— hence the focus on comfort (reduced weight and second headband).

Less intense and more beautiful sounding than then D8K. I'd say the MR is less offensive.

What about with a Qutest? How does it pair? Also on a side note, how well does this drive Susvara?

I had the same issue with MR, which is virtually identical frame to TC, and many say the padding sticker thing (looks like two pillows connected by a bridge) helps a ton. Beautiful Audio also makes a padded headband cover thing for Diana.
