indeed. perhaps in the future i will add or trial the 660s2's. my headphone stand is full atm, unless i build another one, then desk space becomes an issue... and so it continues

Appreciated, the HD 660S2's are 435 GBP here at present, whereas the AT's are 242 GBP. Have ordered a replacement pair of the R70x's :jecklinsmile:

hmm, if i had them to hand I would have double checked that. Amazon have refunded and they are enroute back to them lol. I have been looking at the sennheiser hd660s2's, but I think I will buy another pair of ATH-R70X's as they are just so light and comfortable. :thumbsup:

Just started a warranty claim with Audio Technica for my pair, just within the warranty period. Right hand ear rattling at lower frequencies across multiple sources and diff cables. Confirmed not present on my virtually new custom cans modified dt770 pros. AT have suggested asking Amazon...

Finished my first headphone stand. Bought metal 3/4 bits and used some wood I had around. If I had taken more care with the wood grain directions might have looked a bit better. Can get four hp's on, but designed for two really.

My worries about driveability also are not borne out thankfully. No probs with my poco f2 phone as well as from my ifi Zen DAC v2. Balanced cable sourced and enroute too. Hope that sorts the microphonic issue :xf_cool:

The r70x's seem pretty nice. The main thing that has surprised me is how microphonic the cable is. Not massively noticeable with music on, but at lower volumes or off it is very obvious with a turn of the head etc.
