Strange, but for E3000 and E4000 I use Final eartips size M, while for E2000 and E1000 - size L (the biggest ones). The sound of E3000 and E4000 with size L feels like a lot of bass, with a loss in ultra high frequencies, so I prefer them with size M, with which I get a slightly transparent sound.

Now I make an eartips rolling on my new Final E4000. Of course, I like the original eartips but I'm looking for a tiny change of sound - a bit higher upper treble maybe. What is your experience with other eartips on E4000?

I second that. In fact G7 (tuned by Bang & Olufsen) is precise, but "colder", while V50 (tuned by Meridian) is "warmer". So if you like a bit warmer presentation, buy a V50 (or G8x if you are in Europe)! You won't receive a step up in quality, but more of a side grade.
