Guess who finally visited an audio store? It was like an hour away. I tried audeze lcd-2, the RS-2x and GS-1000e, mezes elites, mezes 109, and DCN ether. And THESE were my favorites, couldn't resist buying them. (Funny how $200 headphones can beat out $4000 headphones, huh?)- FAlSe1

Got this as a birthday gift, it's replacing a ifi zen stack that I didn't really like. Really happy with it so far. Now I just need a replacement for my darkvoice, seems like I only have 2 options though :/ (if I want to keep using that 6sn7 I got).- FAlSe1

Save the date: a Sennheiser CES debut
I understand why they are making these products but am still left dumbfounded by their way of going about it. Why ask for feedback that you're going to ignore? Why post hype about consumer products on an audiophile forum? It feels very disingenuous and is a really bad look for the company...- FAlSe1

Save the date: a Sennheiser CES debut
It sounds like lots of people are hoping for an HE-60 redux (me included). I think what they'll debut is something more along the lines of Bluetooth headphones or hearing aid type tech.- FAlSe1

Well, right now I only bought them because they suited my situation the best. I need to hear people in my house and don't really want them to hear what I'm listening to. So I figured that the "reduced escaping noise" would be perfect. And for the most part, it is. Im sure the in-ears sound great...- FAlSe1

Picked these boys up a few weeks ago and have some thoughts. They're ok. Not good, not bad, just ok. There's a buzzing in the right ear cup that sounds like the diaphragm smacking against the back of the driver which is incredibly annoying, and they don't sound nearly as open and wide as my...- FAlSe1

Geshelli E2 vs Schiit Magnius
I'm currently in the market for a new amplifier and am looking for one with a ballenced output. After going over my options, I've landed between an E2 or a Magnius as I have heard great things about both. They are both around the same price and both American made. So for anyone with insight...- FAlSe1

The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.
This is a bit off topic and I have no idea if this is a place for this, so sorry for being annoying. Currently, I have low impedance headphones and am looking to replace my tube amp with something more suitable. I'm currently stuck between two balanced amps but haven't seen anyone compare the...- FAlSe1

For the next iteration, I was actually planning on making them out of a carbon reenforced nylon, sand blasting it, then using wooden inlays. This one is covered with scuff marks from sanding, and there are tons of imperfections regarding layer separation. The only issue with that is that I...- FAlSe1

Recently, I decided to mod my SR60x for a project in my engineering class and I felt it would be cool to post it. Yes, it looks like a piece of crap, but its really more of a prototype than an actual finished mod. If anyone has ideas on what I should do, I'd really appreciate it.- FAlSe1

The keyboard was a KBDfans 65% kit that I put together, still a work in progress but the caps I'm looking at are out of stock right now. I was also originally going to have the speakers mounted vertically, but the one of the mounts wouldn't tighten cuz one of the screws was a little jacked up...- FAlSe1
