Currently using this combo with the Arya v2s. You won’t regret stretching for the Bifrost 2. You’ll eventually buy it anyway.

This. I was a guy who subscribed to the “if it plays loud enough, it’s enough amp” theory. I was shocked at the difference in dynamics and bass a Soloist XP made with my v2s.

Looking for some tube amp suggestions for the Arya v2. I’d like to keep it under $2500.

Made that jump from 2020 Sundara to Arya v2. Chose the v2 only because of the price drop as the AryaSE was released. The upgrade is absolutely worth the money. The v2s need some current, but the experience is incredible.

I was referring to my preference for the Arya v2 sound signature and making the assumption that the HEKv2 would present a similar sound thereby making that an obvious choice FOR ME. I wasn’t saying one was “better.” Like I said, I haven’t heard either one, so maybe my assumption is totally off...

So, I’ve given the Arya SEs a try and, while they sound fantastic, I prefer the v2 sound. It’s the further back in the audience and wider soundstage, along with a treble presentation that is a touch warmer. I know this question has been asked before, but for those that prefer the v2 sound over...

I’m giddy with my Arya v2 with bf2/Soloist XP (thx haasaaroni). That said, I’m googling he1000 reviews/comparisons. Hobby sure is fun, but damn expensive.

Don’t get me wrong, I thought I was in musical heaven with the bifrost 2/Asgard 3 combo and I consider myself a bit of a Schiit fanboy, but the soloist was another level. Guess that’s why people chase the rabbit in this hobby. Happy listening

The Soloist was a very noticeable improvement in bass punch. It’s a slightly leaner presentation than the Asgard3, but very holographic. Like I said, I used to really question statements like that as the Asgard is putting out 3.5 watts so how could it not bring out the best in a headphone...

Have to say, I was always a huge skeptic of this. Recently moved from a BF2/Asgard3 setup to BF2/Soloist and couldn’t believe the difference on the Arya v2. I often wondered what people were smoking when they said the Arya v2 had punch and slam. Now I get it.

I absolutely love the Arya v2 with a BF2 and Asgard 3. Throw a Loki of your choice in there if you like a bass shelf.

Aaron was a pleasure to deal with. Amp was as described, packaging was top notch and shipped quickly. Highly recommended.

Anybody driving their v2s with a GSX mini? Been looking to upgrade to a balanced amp from my Aasgard 3 and am trying to decide between this and a Burson. Leaning GSX due to US design and assembly.

Agreed, but man they sound good. I’m a quality, made in USA guy, but can’t give HiFiman up.
