    Can't speak for everyone, but the one I got from Amazon was fine, no issues with quality control. Amazon should do replacements/returns though if there's a problem.

    Yeah, it'd definitely need very carefully applied heat if possible. Guess I'll experiment and try on the BT ones, since I do have a heating kit used for phone repair. Edit: Picked up the BT cables, definitely going to take a bit to test, will update here if it works or not.

    Looking at those, the indicators look similar, material-wise, though the BT ones are a bit longer. Is that section a separate material that seems like it's connected through adhesive? I'm thinking of maybe seeing if some carefully applied heat may let me slip those indicators off.
