The thing with a stepped attenuator is not the sensitivity of an IEM used but sound dropping out while changing steps (there is nothing you can do with this) and not that big steps amount to match exactly your desired volume (24, but it also have +/- controls, so was not an issue for me).

I found it to be very comfortable too - didn’t feel it weight at all. And despite being rather thick it was kinda soft and pliable, stayed on my ears quite well.

In the current moment of time I would not recommend buying C9 at all. Paired with N8ii to my taste C9 only worsened the sound signature without adding much power. Plus Cayin is working on new iteration of it, but besides that there are plenty of other interesting options like Tsuranagi.
