    Hifiman Ananda Stealth Magnet Version

I suspect that the younger audience would find Arya Organic a bit too treble heavy. You can fix that with EQ though.

    Hifiman Ananda Stealth Magnet Version

But not any big changes really in terms of db. The amount of filters doesn't impact the sound negatively anyways. It's like the oratory1990 eq profiles. There are some pretty small high Q filters that anyone can just remove if they feel like it's not needed, I'm quite picky with the details.

    Hifiman Ananda Stealth Magnet Version

For the Harman lovers. Based on Resolves measurements, which is the only one I can find for the 16 ohm version of the Stealth. Works very well for me. if you only have 10 bands available, just remove either the 8khz filter, the 1,3khz filter or the 3,1khz filter.

They just announced it was shipping in may and opened up for preorders without really knowing if it would be doable?

    FiiO&JadeAudio Over-Ear Headphones Discussion & Impressions Thread

Made an EQ for those who likes harman tuning. I don't have the headphone yet myself, but if anyone cares to try it, you might want toplay around with the high shelf filter. It's hard to tell if it's right without testing by ear.

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

Well, imagine a TV. A TV with better specs will usually be more detailed. That's related to its technical capabilities. Now, with the wrong type of settings (color balance, brightness etc), the details will take a hit. Yes, frequency response does also play a part in how detailed a headphone is...

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

I recieved these some days ago. I'm very impressed, I actually like the sound better than the Arya models and equalized HD800, because it just sound really good and natural with any music.

    Matrix Audio Mini-i 3 and Mini-i Pro3 DAC

Planars nearly allways has a linear impedance curve, meaning that they don't suffer anything from high output impedance.

*New* Slim Style Dekoni Ear Pads for the HD800!

The oratory measurements of dekoni pads also show a huge drop in bass levels with HD800s. That was also my own experience, Dekoni pads just has less seal than original pads and I needed to boos the bass by 10-15db. The original pads seal pretty well.

*New* Slim Style Dekoni Ear Pads for the HD800!

I can see them being fine for HD820. I still find the stock pads best for HD800 tonality wise. The Dekoni pads just removes too much bass, and I can't even revive it with EQ without making the bass become loose sounding.

*New* Slim Style Dekoni Ear Pads for the HD800!

And where is the 5.8khz peak in the stock measurement? I'm a bit confused.

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

Theres actually less difference here. I was comparing to oratorys graph of the older pads, and having tried both, I really felt like the difference was quite big. Especially in the stage, so maybe it's not just FR that changed. But yes, technically if what Audeze said in that post is true...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I think the biggest difference is that the 1,5-3khz area is not recessed anymore, whereas with the old pads it was quite recessed (which in my opinion ruined the stage a bit, and made them too dark, muffled and distant for me). The rest seems quite similar, but 1.5k-3k is a very relevant area...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

Most measurements like this one is taken using the pre 2021 pads. If you buy a newer LCD-2C, you will have the post 2021 pads installed which I believe are better. They also change the tonality quite a bit (for the better imo). This is the only FR I've found so far using the new pads from 2021...

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

I agree on that, I don't mind the price too much. I just think it's a cheap argument because you can use external factors as arguments for making it cheaper aswell, but they cherrypicked the external factor argument for making it more expensive. I don't see other manufacturers argue that they...

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

Why does it matter to Meze then, if they add cost to it due to "future inflation"?
  17. T

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

I'm just saying, future proof price for inflation argument doesn't sit right with me. Any seller could add a 100 dollars to a product and blame it on future infaltion.

    Meze Audio 109 Pro

Imagine if every manufacturer thought like this. You can also argue that with the high gass prices and electricity, it's harder for people to spend this kind of money on a headphone. But we don't account for that now, do we?

    Matrix Audio Mini-i 3 and Mini-i Pro3 DAC

I'm planning to use ethernet cable long term anyways. I'm just trying to see if theres something wrong with my unit so that I can talk to the people that I bought it from. Having the wireless wifi option too would be nice. Using USB, it will not display song and album cover right?

    Matrix Audio Mini-i 3 and Mini-i Pro3 DAC

So I recieved this unit. There's 1 problem, I connected to wifi on a different floor. While it found the internet, it didn't really respond. I then tried it around 1 metre away from the router, and while it connected it said 1 out of 3 connection and when I tried to stream via Roon, it just kept...

[FiiO M17] Dual ES9038PRO, dual THXAAA-788+, dual power supplies, 9200mAh battery, 2 volume control modes

How is the battery usually on Fiio DAPs? Does it shorten down a lot after a couple of years like with phones? And if that happens, will there be anything I can do about it? I'm not sure warranty covers declining battery time.

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I agree that with the new pads from 2021, the Classics sounds really good out of the box! Apart from bass, this is probably the headphone I've tried that I eq the least. With the old pads however, they sounded very distant and blurred out of the box. The new padding made wonders for this headphone.

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

Look at any frequency response for this unit, and you will find that bump. I didn't know what it did for the sound until I dialed it back down to linear. It doesn't cause the mids to become incredibly loud or anything, it just affects the timbre a bit. Maybe saying the mids are forward is not...

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

I'm used to neutral harman mids, which a lot of headphones follows. Not the 2c though. There's a bump at around 600hz-1khz, and the lower mids are ~1db above. The bump explains why the user above found them nasally. Not massively elevated, but enough for me to dial it down. And the result was...
