The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread
I remember when I was buying the K712, I read that the AKG engineers tuned the K712 to have +3db boost in the bass compared to the other K7 AKG's. Comparing from memory, that is the only real difference, or the main difference, in sound signature between the K712, K702, K612 i've also heard and...- Steven31

VZR Model One
Looks like a rebrand of these.. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32566703194.html I had this wooden headphone around 4 years ago, didn't have it for long but I remember being impressed by it's sound quality, I thought it had a sound signature not dissimilar to the Denon AH-D2000, with lots of...- Steven31

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
1979 - "Are Friends Electric" 2021 - "Intruder". An album about climate change, apparently... -
Does brand name actually mean anything in the headphone/iem space at all?
There is a limit to the amount of different sound signatures that can be produced,- there is only so many tunings you can get in a headphone or speaker, but these days there seems to be no limit to the number of companies manufacturing new headphones. When I properly became aware of this world...- Steven31

The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread
I had the K712 for a while but decided to gift it to my father, along with an Astell&Kern Norma SR25 (portable music players aren't really my thing, call me old fashioned but my preference is CD and vinyl record players). I figured he'd appreciate it more than me as he isn't really familiar with...- Steven31

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X
I can vaguely remember reading a review of Beyerdynamic headphones by someone on Amazon UK some years ago, I can't remember what specific Beyerdynamic headphone it was for, but I remember being very amused at what the reviewer said about Beyerdynamic (the company). He had to send his headphone...- Steven31

Calling Everyone Mixing music in Headphones!!!!!!!!
I have mixed music using headphones, in the past. And it turned out alright. I would say that the key is to learn your headphones first before attempting to mix with them, get to know them before creating beats with them or tampering with the EQ in digital audio workstations to make your mixes...- Steven31

Alcohol heightens the experience, regardless of the music :stuck_out_tongue: I don't need alcohol to enjoy music, have you ever experienced frission? (that's the scientific term for "goosebumps"), when I listen to my favourite songs I get that all the time - regardless of the equipment I use to...- Steven31

New HD 820 video: Six "Sound" Reasons
Well that’s certainly surprising. I owned the fostex th-x00 PurpleHeart for a short while and before that the Denon AH-D5000 and AH-D2000, I remember that the gap between the earcups and the frame that holds them in place , is very VERY slim - less than 1 millimetre. I still consider them closed...- Steven31
