DMP-A6 ----> usb ----> Pegasus ----> XLR ---> HA-3A. I can try RCA between Pegasus and HA-3A. I don't find anything wrong with the sound just limited volume control. But I am not sure if HA-3A is being used at its best, like not flexing it's muscles at all. Like driving a sports car in crowded city.

DMP-A6 does provide digital volume control. I just tried it. I need to reduce from a max of 15 to about 9 or 10 to get 'normal range' of the volume knob. Usually I set it to bypass for best signal integrity. Maybe I will try the RCA output of the Pegasus which is the standard 2v. Have not tried...

Yes tried all. I have all variations of pigtail convertors allowing me to use all the phone outputs. 4.4 give to lowest gain but not by much.

Just confirmed with Musician Audio that Pegasus' XLR output is 3.55V not 4.4V. Anyone uses the Pegasus with Flux FA-12 without a preamp successfully?
