I'd say it depends. Usually for me, if I spent a thousand dollars on a pair of headphones, I wouldn't spend over a thousand for amp and dac, but that's just me. I'd say if you are going into the more mid-to-high fi range, somewhere around $1000 to $3000 dollars, I'd consider upgrading my stack...

I have tried it once in a HiFi store, and the clamp is pretty tight. I think it's because the MM-500 is for studio monitoring, and you won't want too big of a gap between the headphone and your head. The headphone itself is pretty light tho, definitely lighter than some of the other audeze, like...

Ay welcome to the community, if you are looking at a headphone between $300-$800, I'd say the focal elex can be an option, it has a not very wide but decent soundstage compared to the 6xx, and your zen stack can definitely drive it. :beerchug:

Little Dot MKII is a pretty good value for the hd600 if you are looking into tube amp.

How do Dekoni's pads compare with the Diana Bass Ported Pads from Abyss regarding sound and comfort?

But I am still using the stock rectifier tube for my roger. I am curious about the difference it will make in the sound. Does anyone have a recommendation on some rectifier tubes?

It definitely makes a noticeable difference on my focal clear. Sound warmer and has more punch and impact but still maintains the clarity.
