I'm starting to suspect that Final's aesthetics may have an influence on how much I enjoy their sound.

Thank you both regarding the B3, I still can't make my mind up.

I'm considering making the B3 my next purchase, partly to fill a gap in my collection, partly because I just love how they look. Like most people I have fairly eclectic taste in music but at the moment I'm listening to a lot of acoustic stuff for small ensembles or soloists, I'm a big fan of...

I suspect that people might assume that they're like the A4000 with a fancier cable, many people find that too bright and harsh, I like the A4000 with some music but at times they grate on me. The A5000 is a far more pleasant, smoother listen, its a favourite along with the E5000.

Bought the original ZE8000 today, I've had a lot of fun with it this afternoon, they sound fantastic, highly engaging, powerful, weighty bass without bloat. Involuntary dancing took place. I've seen complaints in reviews about them not being loud, straight out of the box they were a very fun...

The E5000 has very tame, smooth treble, its one of my favourites along with the Sony xba-n3 which you might like if you can find one, that has more treble and more of a v-shaped sound. The E5000 also has unusually low sensitivity for an IEM, my phone's headphone socket can get it loud but it...

    Sennheiser IE300 Review & Measurements

I never had a connection problem with mine, I wore them lying on my side with head on pillow for hours, very comfortable.

Yes, the q5k has a 2.5mm socket so it will work very well. I find that the E5000 really benefits from a balanced output.

iFi audio GO blu - Super small. Super light. Super Sound.

I bought my Go Blu a couple of weeks after it was released, I use it daily and usually until the battery runs out, I sometimes use it while its charging and I don't do anything to try and keep the battery in good condition, I get about the same runtime as when it was new, no issues at all. I...

I think you might dislike the A4000 a lot more then. Ears are odd things, I regretted buying the A4000 at first then, I listened to it again a few months later and really enjoyed it though, some of my favourite tracks are close to intolerable with it. The A5000 has the best characteristics of...

I find the A5000 to have a warmer, smoother sound than the A4000, it sounds good with everything whereas the A4000 can sound abrasive, thin and obnoxious with some music. The A5000 bass has an unusually wide and grand sound, the overall sound is very expansive. I have used the A4000 since it was...

That's a gorgeous headphone, light enough to not need a thick headband, I want it, badly.

I've tried many types of tip on the A4000, the E types sound harsh in my ears with it. I eventually settled on JVC Spiral Dots, I imagined that they would boost the treble a lot because of the wider bore but they actually smooth it out. Again, this is my ears, your mileage etc. I recently bought...

I've tried the E5000 with comply 200 and one of the sets for wireless buds, it didn't sound great, it was overly warm and a little muffled or stuffy sounding. I imagine that they would work for some people but not for me.

I literally just finished watching your video then received a notification about this post. I enjoyed it, I like your relaxed style. I'll be buying a pair once they're available in UK.

I would love to read some impressions of the new A5000, the lack of user reviews seems odd. I'm currently enjoying the A4000 with Sennheiser's silicone tips with the foam insert, much nicer than the stock tips.

A dual balanced armature IEM with a completely different tuning and physical design from the E5K, can really only be regarded as "overall better" if you much prefer how it sounds. What do you mean by the JVC fw1800 being a "formal rival" to the B3? The JVC IEMs are all single DD IEMs and are...

    Sennheiser IE300 Review & Measurements

I get along fine with the ie300 cable, I don't doubt that some people have trouble with it but I find it difficult to relate to the complaints about it. I noticed in some reviews they complain about the memory wire ear hooks, for some reason they try to get them to exactly match the shape of...

    Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread

I often use my mdr-1am2 and Sennheiser hd25 with an IFI Go Blu, it sounds great. Bluetooth at it's best is very good, using LDAC with a wireless DAC/amp sounds very similar to connecting the device by cable. Comparing them to wireless headphones that have ANC is a little unfair as those are...

I like them a lot, I listen to a lot of very bassy electronic music and the 1am2 really thump.

If you're unable to find an original replacement cable or other aftermarket cable with the right mmcx connector, it is possible to modify a very inexpensive generic mmcx cable to fit without modifying/damaging the IEM itself. I've had my ie300 well over a year, I use it regularly and its like...

I have both the xba-n3 and e5000, both are excellent earphones though they're quite different, the e5000 has a somewhat unique big, warm, lush and bassy sound with very tame treble. The n3 has a very good version of a v shaped sound with more treble and punchy bass. Both are very comfortable to...

    Sony MDR-1AM2 - Impressions Thread

They need very little power. I have no idea what the output power is like with that dongle but, I wouldn't prioritize power for the mdr-1am2, I have an IEM thats far more demanding. With my Go Blu using 3.5mm its very loud at about 30-40% volume. I hear the RU6 is a great sounding device.

I don't think the venting makes much difference to isolation. I think the shell or housing design and eartip make the most difference, I mentioned it because its often assumed that vented makes it open backed. I find the A4000 isolation very good, similar to Etymotic er2 with Final E type tips...
