Number 1 is REALLY the most annoying thing about the Pi7. Could easily be added via an update. Hopefully! Have not experienced number 3 personally.- Chetan2412

We are starting to have very consistent feedback from users now on the forum. From the first reviews, i genuinely thought there were some huge QC issues.- Chetan2412

This is exactly what I expected. Do you get a pressure buildup with ANC on the Sony's? I do get some slight buildup on the Pi7 which can get slightly uncomfortable.- Chetan2412

The Sony's look very interesting. Not a fan of the actual design but I would have considered them if they had Aptx-LL. I am sure the ANC will be much better than my Pi7. Sony spends a lot on marketing though so I would take whatever I read online with a grain of salt until I try them myself...- Chetan2412

I second that. Battery life above 4hrs and quick charging will suffice for 99.9% of people. Another point is that the Pi7 have relatively big drivers compared to the Sony buds. While bigger drivers do not always mean better SQ, they definitely mean less battery life in the same form factor.- Chetan2412

I can confirm my Note 8 is very loud with the default music player, average in volume with Poweramp player, and very low in volume with the BT-W3 connected to my phone . And i cannot explain this.- Chetan2412

Strangely the volume differs if you use different music player apps on the same device. Happens on my Note 8. 60% volume on the Samsung Music Player is around 80-85% volume if I use Poweramp. And this is with all effects and sound enchantements off. So I wonder what happens if you use a music...- Chetan2412

This is disappointing to hear. However, all Aptx (and family) transmitting and receiving BT chips are made by Qualcomm and cannot be customised in any way. Since these chips are working without a hitch on other products, any problem we are having with the Pi7 must be software based and should be...- Chetan2412

I just ordered a Bta30 to use mainly with my TV. Has not yet arrived. Does it at least correctly handshake through Aptx-LL with the Pi7? :(- Chetan2412

So I have been using the Pi7 for more or less 2 weeks now and here are my findings. First all, here’s what I do not like about the product. You cannot activate ambient pass-through on the buds themselves. So, if you are using the Pi7 with anything other than a phone, the feature is basically...- Chetan2412

I have not noticed anything you are describing. Actually I used to have a PX and I NEVER listened to music with ANC on because of how much worse it sounded to me, One of the first things that struck me when I tried the ANC on the Pi7 was that the sound hardly changes. All that is noticeable is...- Chetan2412

Definitely! When I was looking to order a charcoal one around 10 days back, it was out of stock everywhere in the UK too except from Audio Sanctuary. So yes either these are selling tremendously well or retailers are getting very few units.- Chetan2412

Before ordering mine last week I called at several stores and asked them about stock. Retailers were supposed to get stock by mid-may so they were accepting orders. However, that date has since been changed to june at the last minute.- Chetan2412

I got delivery of my Pi7 2 days back. No drop outs or any connection issues at all when connected to my Note 8 or Macbook M1. They are also really really loud. I am listening to them at 60%. I am reserving judgment on the SQ until my BT-W3 are here in 2-3 days and I can stream Aptx-HD. I...- Chetan2412

Like you said, the BT-W3 will always be an option. However, I am sure i read somewhere that the lightning port on the iPhone is capped at 16bit if you are passing though raw audio.- Chetan2412

Apple's lossless files are in ALAC. The only information we do not have is through which codec iPhones and iOS devices are supposed to transmit the HD audio. iPhones normally stream through AAC BT whether you are playing mp3, FLAC, .wav etc... However, AAC BT cannot transmit 24 Bit audio. So...- Chetan2412

Yes the LG phones are known for streaming LDAC really well. Shame LG is out of the phone business now. Their DACs were amazing too.- Chetan2412

I would have expected no difference at all in sound signatures. You are bypassing the DACs in both phones. Only the DSP in the buds are being used. I guess the difference in volume is the DSP's handling of the AAC vs APTX. These findings are making me rethink how i thought bluetooth audio works.- Chetan2412

I was aware that LDAC was extremely sensitive to proximity and would hardly even trigger its highest bitrate mode in most practical situations. However, I never heard anything similar about Aptx-HD. In fact, I have heard the opposite; how stable it is. It would be interesting to hear other's...- Chetan2412

You should try your BT-W3 with another lightning to usb-c dongle to know for sure that's not causing these issues.- Chetan2412

If so many reviewers who had early access to the product are mentioning Aptx-Hd and the final product does not have it, perhaps its a last minute licensing issue? Usually those who get early access get a list of pre determined things to highlight in the product, i doubt all or so many of them...- Chetan2412

Even this guy is talking about 24bit streaming from the case just like a LOT of big tech websites who previewed the Pi7. BW sent marketing material with typos to reviewers :D- Chetan2412
