300 to 500 cycles, I guess. That's for the full discharge to full recharge cycles, but in reality we seldomly do the full discharge/charge. See the paper below: https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Panasonic-NCR18650B-lifespan-characteristics_fig1_315861211

I highly doubt that. They market it as a CPAP machine battery. CPAP Expo maybe😂

Use the unregulated port2, and let Mscaler does the regulation. Rob mentioned Mscaler takes 9-15v and regulates down to 5v. DO NOT USE >15V. IT WILL DAMAGE Mscaler. This is the one I use: https://www.bixpower.com/product-p/bat-bp90-12v.htm

Yes, Bixpower is amazing. It is the best accessary upgrade I have for decades. Now, I need to find an unregulated 5v battery source for my 2Go2Yu. Looks like NiMH is the only way, but it is too inconvenient.

I would not say my Chord components are running in complete stock form. They are actually powered by separated batteries. I am fine with mod if necessary. My old CD-player/DAC has a high jitter SDPIF receiver, and it got replaced with a better clock and receiver chip. I just don't feel the...

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I have no experience with re-clocker. I just post what Rob said. But, based on my experience/listening tests with power supplies, I fully believe him. I used to be a LPS guy, but after I did the test (you can search my previous posts), I found the stock PS sounds closer than a unregulated...

Source jitter doesn't matter on Chord DAC. RF noise is another story. From Rob: Rob' comment on re-clocker:

I leave mine on all the time unless it is a hot day or charging it from red. For battery life, see my older post: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-electronics-hugo-2-the-official-thread.831345/post-17215959

I don't know. Maybe the construction and the materials used in those cables combining with the characteristics of those IEMs' drivers make it easier to pick up the 2.4GHz Wifi noise. It is just a wild guess. Otherwise, I cannot explain why my other cheap IEMs that have similar sensitivity do...

@MarkParity, that's what Ed from Chord suggested -- tried another 2Go and Hugo2. I did tested on 3 different Hugo2s (2 faulty Hugo2 for other issues. 3rd is a charm), and all of them had the same issue. That was tested in 2021. At that time, my dealer did not have another 2Go for me to test...

Rob said, "It gets filtered by an improved DSD filter to 705.6 kHz PCM. Then Hugo 2 treats it exactly the same as regular PCM." "It" was referred to DSD. It means DSD gets filtered by a DSD filter, and then the output from that filter is 705.6 KHz PCM. The next stage is a 49K taps WTA1 16fs...

We were not talking about native DSD vs DoP. We were talking about DSD process in Hugo2. Since now you bring DoP in to the discussion, below is the explanation from Rob: Back to the DSD to PCM on Hugo2, Rob specifically said DSD gets filtered to 705.6KHz PCM:

    Watts Up...?

Need to spend 5 to 10 minutes adjustment time, every time I put on Stealth. I thought I had an odd head shape 😂. Now, I see. It is a common problem. Anyway, I really love the Stealth. With crossfeed, they really sound like speakers. They actually beat my B&W Signature 805s in terms of...

    For those who are interested, below are some chips information for 2Go, 2Yu, and Hugo2 that I found from the Internet: 2Go: NXP i.MX 7 DUAL (CortexA7x2 1GHz+ Cortex M4x1 200MHz) NXP PF3000 power management Kingston 8GB TLC eMMC + 4Gb LPDDR3 (512MB) 2Yu: XMOS UX216 Hugo2: ATMEL SAM3U1C...

Yes, 2Go2Yu will pop up on Roon. I don't know if there is any DAP will beat 2Go2yu. Maybe yes, maybe no. There is no way to compare every DAP in the market. All I know is my HP system sounds very good to me. Probably, I should connect my old CD player as the source for comparison. My...

DSD got converted to PCM. See below: In my setup, 2Go airplane mode is the best. Wifi hotspot add too much noise, and I can hear those noise with high sensitivity IEMs. I don't have a DAP with toslink to test, but 2Go+2Yu's optical to H2 is better than Hugo2+2Go alone.

I think you meant compressed format. This is a very strange issue. Considering the processing power of NXP i.mx7 dual cores + embedded cpu, it should not be a problem. I tried to use the same version of ffmpeg from the poly's source code, and did conversion in a few different Linux machines...

I always have the pops/clicks issue in hotspot or Wifi mode with all of my high sensitivity IEMs. When I turn on airplane mode, the noise is gone. Also, with my low sensitivity DCA Stealth, I cannot hear the noise. Have you tried in an airplane mode?

Mscaler transforms H2 into a different DAC. Timber, resolution, depth perception, instruments separation, transient improved a lot. Music sounds so real. I feel like I am either in a concert hall or studio (depending on the recordings).

I have poly and 2Go. They work perfectly for my use cases. For quick walk, I use my MojoPoly. For short trip, I use my Hugo2+2Go. At home I connect 2Go to 2Yu and Mscaler. To get the best SQ, you need to run them in airplane mode and use the Gofigure stock MPD playlist player. Once thing...

192Khz is really pushing toslink's limit. My stock Chord toslink used to work, but after unplug and plug in a few times it does not work for 192KHz anymore (lower sample rate works fine thought). My Wireworld Super Nova glass fiber does not work for 192KHz also. Toslink with 192KHz is really...
