Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

Looks great. Where did you get it and what's the manufacturer?

    EarMen Colibri

@emilsoft Thank you for your assessment. Yes, the Sparrow is good, but currently I'm trying a warranty return because I can't deal with the RFI/EMI noise. It just bothers me and has never really gone away. For now, I'm very happy with the Mojo 2. Maybe I should have given the Gryphon more time...

    EarMen Colibri

Well, I am not a reviewer. Not so easy and please understand as a snapshot. I listened to both devices intensively for about 4-5 hours, but on 2 consecutive days. However, with the same or similar music. Samsung S10 Phone-DAC-Sennheiser IE600. very difficult, what are 0%? Anyway, I'll give it a...

    EarMen Colibri

It's not an eye-level comparison, but I have the Mojo 2 here in the meantime and it knocked my socks off yesterday. The Colibri I must therefore probably sort out. It is clearly better than the Sparrow, but the difference to the Mojo 2 is just too big.

    EarMen Colibri

Got the Colibri yesterday. With my IE600 and Samsung S10 phone the first impression is very good. But not as clear sounding as the same IEM fed by my RME-ADI2

New FiiO M11S Player with dual ES9038Q2M DACs, 670mW output power and 14 hours of battery life

Thank you for your opinion. This is indeed not easy for me. In principle, I would like to have a portable system that I can use in bed or on business trips in the evening at the hotel. So it doesn't have to be very mobile. But it should sound as good as possible. Price range would be about...

New FiiO M11S Player with dual ES9038Q2M DACs, 670mW output power and 14 hours of battery life

How would you rate the SQ of the M11S compared to a Dongle like the EarMen Sparrow/Colibri or Questyle M15 fed by a smart phone. I'm still trying to classify things before going into the market.

Thanks for your review. Besides the good user experience of the M11S how would you rate its SQ compared to the EarMen Sparrow/Colibri Dongle fed by a smart phone. I'm trying to classify things before going into the market. Edit: I've asked also in the M11s topic that I've discovered too late...

    EarMen Angel

Thanks for the sneak preview. I'll try to get the Colibri for testing ....

    EarMen Angel

@Ichos that comparison is exactly what I'm looking for (Angel vs. Mojo 2) as I know you're in classical music too. When will it be ready  ? Currently I'm using LCD-XC (with EQ) or Sennheiser IE600 (flat) with my RME-ADI2 DAC and really like this setup. Especially I'm kind of blown away by...

TOPPING G5 Portable DAC/Amp Now on Apos

G5 is here, still unopened. Got my IE600 yesterday and I try them on RME-ADI2. First impression of the Sennheisers is great, want to get used to a little bit on the RME before switching to G5.... I have no cable nor adapter for my LCD-XC to try on G5 .... Will report back .... Regards

    LCD-X and XC Update

This solves my "wrong" impression of the 2021 lineup of XC (black line) X (grey line). I got these graphs from the great Audeze support and it helped me a lot to understand the differences and do some reasonable EQ. 2-4 dB Bass shelf at approx. 1kHz makes both cans sound much more similiar with...

    AUDEZE LCD XC

I must have approached the matter in the wrong way. And now I see in the comparison that the range below 1.5 kHz is approx. 3-5 dB higher with the X. That's where I got the impression that the bass range is overdamped. The idea of tuning the closed headphones conservatively at the low end is...

    LCD-X and XC Update

Thanks. That is exciting. I have about 4-5 days left, then I have to decide which one to buy.

    AUDEZE LCD XC

RME ADI-2 DAC with built-in amp, there is no difference to me between normal mode and hi-power. Meanwhile I got an answer from the very good Audeze support. The FR is 3-4 dB higher for the X from 2kHz downwards ....

    LCD-X and XC Update

Hi, I've also both 2021 X and XC here. Can you understand what I wrote above? That the XC has significantly more damping than the X? I feel it is overdamped, as if the diaphragm is stretched too much and can't vibrate as well/free.
  18. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

... then I have to stick with the X and do my family friendly closed listening sessions with iem's :)
  19. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

    FR-Graph: Thats how it's supposed to be .... with my new 2021 X/XC it's the opposite ....
  20. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

I'm trying hard (and still hoping that my impressions shift towards yours and/or match the sound of the X) .... I wait for the next 50 h organ-music-pink-noise-torture ....

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Thanks, I'll report back whatever happens ....

    LCD-X and XC Update

I am just being helped in the XC thread... thanks for reading
  23. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Yes, I could try that. However, it is difficult at the moment. The XC has already been sent across Germany and if I now want a second XC and in case of doubt both go back, then the dealer has two B-stocks that are worth less. But I'll ask .... or keep the X.
  24. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Thanks for your impressions. The XC I have here can be given back within 2 weeks, but I must decide which one I want to buy/keep. X or XC?
  25. Z

    AUDEZE LCD XC

Thank you. I'm glad to hear that. I already feel like I'm going crazy because the experiences I read are so different from mine. I was hoping to find most of the good features of the X in the XC. That's how it should be ....
