Tidal Masters & MQA Thread!
Not long. I listen extreme metal, and albums I could listen in FLAC are now only available in MQA. I am not gonna pay for disservice. W.t.f. I am pissed as hell, and I will probably move to Qobuz.- Hariwulf

Making my Fiio x5ii Bluetooth
I would like to play Tidal on my x5ii (2nd gen), and to my understanding, OTG pairing with smartphones is not an option. Therefore, I was wondering if it would be possible to connect a bluetooth receiver, and which type would be ideal. I am asking for a portable solution. Thanks for the help. :)- Hariwulf

Looking for a portable amp that could drive well 300 OHM cans
After some thinking, I am settling for a DT 770 pro 80 OHM with a Hip DAC. I think this setup should provide plenty of breathing room and a proper drive. As always, I appreciate any comment. :)- Hariwulf

Looks promising, and the battery duration is dream-material. Alas, seems impossible to find from my country. :/- Hariwulf

250 is what I would get. 80 is interesting, but 3 meters straight cable? I really don't want to restring my headphones. :P- Hariwulf

If I go that road (and save money), I would consider also the DT 770 pro 32 OHM...tho, I have been reading less than flattering impressions about them. Any advice is highly appreciated. And will check those Sundara right away. :)- Hariwulf

I've been looking at the Hip, the interesting part is, it's also a DAC. I have a question for you: how is the USB-C connector? I had a Q3, and there were issues with a "ticking" noise.- Hariwulf

I like it. I am currently returning a FiiO DAC/AMP due to bad USB-C connectivity. This experience made me weary...can anybody comment on the iFi X-Can USB connection? If I hear again that "tick...tick" noise I'm gonna smash my head on a wall. :D- Hariwulf

Can my FiiO Q3 drive a pair of DT 770 Pro with 80 OHM?
I am talking mostly on-the-go listening. The general consensus seems to state that, while the Q3 should be able to drive 250 OHM, it won't do it well. So I am making peace with that verdict. :/ That said, this begs the question: would the Q3 drive the 80 OHM variant decently? Please, help a...- Hariwulf
