[FiiO BTR7] Portable Bluetooth Amplifier, Color IPS display,High-performance DAC ES9219C*2,THX AAA-28*2 amps,3.5+4.4mm outputs,One-click “dongle” mode

Without a clip (or an available one), it's a pass. I can put Gryphon in my pocket, but this BTR7 could be the best clip on option.

It's against the law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) to disallow warranty claims for properly executed non-destructive part swaps and to only limit denials to actual damage caused by part swaps (ie you cannot deny a claim for a bad driver because someone scratched a earcup casing doing a headband...

I recommend the HiFiMAN Sundara headband, which does fit these (slight tweaks needed for the pins, but the overall size is spot on). Not cheap.

A more professional or automated solder would be hard to replicate, but the factory solder job is of poor quality. You can easily match it in execution, twice if you needed to undo it before sending back. I ended up getting a custom Hart cable made before opening (and breaking a wire free...

70W 8ohm amplifier sounds like a speaker amp, which (save for a weird exception or two) won't work with headphones. That withstanding, you'll likely be better off with a more flexible and approachable solution like the Elegias. They can be powered by anything with a 1/8" or 1/4" jack...

Not that you asked this Shane, but I have the Focal Eligia (picked up for $380), HD6xx, Sundaras, Clears (got for $899), and these. All are similar in value, save for maybe the Sundaras. All are rather different headphones with different strengths. I see these as akin to a heavyweight...

Anyone here try their electrostatic headphones? I never saw them before today. $599 with "amp".

The AMT intrigues me. It would intrigue me more if it weighed 100g less or had a band that didn't remind me of the one I find disappointing on my (much cheaper) M1570. If/when it goes on sale for $699.

Any of the Dekoni Audio Elite ear pads for Audeze LCD series will fit. I use the fenestrated sheepskin, but the others will work too. FYI, the LCD pads are the same size/shape, but they do mount using the included two sided adhesive.

I love the sound of these headphones, and a custom cable from Hart cables took care of adding to my Hart cable setup. I gave the headband a go but, I never could make it work for me. Heavy, lose, and just not comfortable, I grew to hate it. I never could find yokes for the Audeze headbands...
