I think on some level, people who buy Focal are understanding that a certain percentage of the purchase price are going to looks and not necessarily sound. Of course this is subjective and some may decide that it is worth it while others find it overpriced for what they hear in their ear.

I have just received my Celestee's from headphones.com and I just listened to Massive Attack's Angel and did not experience clipping taking the volume as loud as I could stand. FWIW, I run a JDS Labs Element II DAC/Amp and do not have high gain on.

I placed my order on Feb 8th from headphones.com and have not received shipping info, so I'm afraid even ordering two weeks ago I missed the cut. Maybe should have ordered from crutchfield as I too received an alert that they were in stock (for a couple days anyway) and would ship.
