Meze Audio LIRIC - The portable isodynamic hybrid array headphone
I did try several positions and adjustments. The main issue for me is the spring is too aggressive at the bottom of the cups, if that makes sense. It's definitely noticable when you sit them on a headphone stand where the cups don't hug the stand. They naturally want to tilt inwards quite a...- skeeb23

Meze Audio LIRIC - The portable isodynamic hybrid array headphone
Just as an update to this thread... I am looking to see if I can get a different unit in possibly to retest. I find it very odd that I was such a big minority in having a fit issue that my bass response was...not good. If I'm able to, I'll definitely do an update and let everyone know. I...- skeeb23

My Wife is ready for hi-fi! Suggestions??
We just uploaded video 3 to the series! We have narrowed down a list of Dongle Dac/amps and IEMs to choose from. We've also posted two polls to my channel to help pick the top 3 of each. I encourage anyone to chime in and help Bri out!- skeeb23

My Wife is ready for hi-fi! Suggestions??
Yeah the Scarlet Mini was my fault. Her phone wasn't setup with UAPP and the volume was low. The RU7 was almost maxed and she didn't get a good listen. She may have found that one too bass with proper volume settings...just my guess.- skeeb23

My Wife is ready for hi-fi! Suggestions??
She does have small ears. Although she hasn't tried enough IEMs to know for sure. So I'd like her to try all versions. Short nozzle, longer, chonky and not.- skeeb23

Yes. That headphone was so good! Excellent tonal balance to my ear. I gave him (creator) a couple of thoughts on the fit for comfort adjustment, but yes, it was a very good listen.- skeeb23

CanJam New York 2024 Impressions Thread (March 9-10, 2024)
Are you referring to the Susan Rodgers talk at the DCS room? If so, I caught it, but did not record the entire event. To be honest, when I record I don't listen as well and I was really interested in what she had to say. Hindsight, I could have watched later like I am with the AMA.- skeeb23

CanJam New York 2024 Impressions Thread (March 9-10, 2024)
Hey everyone, I just shared the: Ask the Reviewers AMA from this NY Canjam to my YouTube just this morning. Took a bit to get the audio right, but I think it turned out ok. Sorry for the wobbly video at times. I switched between camera resting on my knee, to holding it. Next time I'll bring...- skeeb23

Cayin iHA-8: Fully Balanced "Hyper" Class-A Headphone Amplifier
Thank you for explaining this. It makes complete sense because upon listening the first time it was left in hyper mode. I don't care so much if a unit gets hot as long as it's meant that way and won't do any harm to the unit (which you explained will not). Yes my impression was at Can Jam...- skeeb23

Cayin iHA-8: Fully Balanced "Hyper" Class-A Headphone Amplifier
I really enjoyed listening to the iHA-8. I listened with the Caldera Closed and Open Bokeh. It has a lot of the same characteristics of the iHA-6 from my short impressions, other then the Hyper mode definitely gave more power.. just not sure in what way. Definitely need some time with it...- skeeb23

Meze EMPYREAN II
I'll send you a PM on the stands so we don't get off topic here. I appreciate you checking out my Empy2 video. Aesthetics aside, I've not been disappointed yet by the comfort of Meze products. Subjective, I know, but they work well for me.- skeeb23

It's normal. Honestly, I've had headphones in the past that may have one side clicked out more then the other. It's whatever is comfortable to your head...just try not to think about it too much - skeeb23

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
I'll chime in and just say that USB was a big cause of noise issues in not only the HA-3A but other tube amps I have used in my system. I have mostly used Schiit DAC's that utilize USB. Personally, I've not had issues with the USB from their DACs, but the cables can make a difference! I...- skeeb23

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
I'll 2nd this too. I had a USBc to USBa extension cable that wreaked havoc on my system with noise. It can be the smallest thing at times.- skeeb23

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
Also give the tubes time to burn in. I had a couple of noise things in the first hours or day of use on my unit but it went away. The XLR is the most powerful output and I prefer my Atrium Closed out of the 4.4. I'd definitely try the different options to see what works best. Higher...- skeeb23

Mod House Audio Tungsten - Planar Magnetic Headphones - Impressions and Discussion
I do want to mention that I wish I had an AMP with just tons of power so I could have A/B'd the two between the HA-3A. I was very encouraged, however, by the post that was put into the HA-3A thread showing the voltages at the difference impedance levels of the AMP. I used XLR for the Tungsten...- skeeb23

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
The point on sibilance here is excellent and really has me 2nd guessing my own findings from the past. This is where good a/b comparisons to other gear with same tracks of both sibilant and non sibilant recordings can really tell the full story. On that note, I do agree that the E3 are not...- skeeb23
