yes i use outside power supply but it not working first when i turn on power hdd still not spin. it will start spin when i turn on ipod. that mean the ipod start to control the hdd. but i can't go to diskmode to restore ipod it can't read hdd.But when i use CF to 1.8" adapter it work fine...
