These are gen 1 so not quite what you’re looking for, the new red filter seems interesting though

Comment by 'chrischong948' on listing 'Shure SE846'

I closed this listing a while ago. I may change my mind and choose to sell them in a little bit, but I fell in love with them again after having a hard time selling them and cycling them back in from my other IEMs. Can keep you updated if you’d like, otherwise good luck searching.

Selling my Sennheiser IE800 after 1 year of ownership with 2 extra sets of ear tips (2 medium, 1 small). They are in good condition and sound like new. I am the second owner of these and purchased them on mercari around a year ago after regretting selling my first set. Original owner bought...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

Try posting over on the SE846 impressions thread here. There are tons of owners with experience, and I’m sure they’d be happy to help. This thread is a bit old and inactive so you’ll definitely have better luck over there. Too bad about vesper audio ☹️.They seemed like nice people.

When I broke my set, I found a couple people saying you could reglue the shells with e6000 model glue. I've used it on other projects and it cures relatively quickly and is clear so your earpieces won't look gross. It's also pretty easy to peel off if you make any mistakes. I still have my older...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

Yea I believe they are in Belarus. My quote was about a year ago so it's possible their status has changed since then. I never ended up shipping my buds all the way over there but I've heard a lot of good things

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

You may find it helpful to pursue fixing the old faulty bud. Vesper audio can fix a lot of things relatively inexpensively. I was only quoted around $50 including shipping to replace the mmcx connector on mine.

I would probably suggest you go for a fiio cable. I see a lot of people using the fiio 2.5b, 3.5b and their other offerings. I have the lc 3.5b and it's really really nice, quite affordable too at $30. It's much nicer feeling than the shure cable which is very stiff and uncomfortable. When...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

I did not end up getting them repaired. What I ended up doing was buying new earpieces for 300ish each. I still have the right earpiece which is in working order, and the left piece which I believe requires a new mmcx connector. It's quite an easy repair actually, as long as you have decent...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

Maybe not, I tried to get the receipt from the second-hand seller and they told me it was a trade-in so that wouldn't be possible. It was someplace called "Hanson AV" and I guess they have multiple stores in the US. As I was reading that I'm pretty sure one of the drivers in the opened bud went...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

They probably did that cause they want to be able to verify the authenticity of the product. However, if we're going off that logic it would be very easy to send in a fake with an authentic box and serial number and get it repaired. I have heard that the quality of customer service differs from...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

That sounds like a very good experience to me! I did buy them second hand but I have the eBay receipt to prove that, so I think it should be okay. I'm just worried that me not being the original owner will make them not honor the warranty since they told me it's TYPICALLY non-transferrable...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

If I were to do it, I would only do the right side since the left bud is actually pristine. If they're just gonna charge me for a new bud I'm probably not risking shipping it to them. Another person had the same issue with a pair of SE846 that were much older and decided to use some sort of...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

Maybe the move is to wait when the SE846 successors are announced and then send them in for repair. It's been nearly a decade since they were originally released so maybe it's possible. Mine were purchased around October 2019 so it's really odd how the glue just disintegrated in such a short...

That seems a little more reasonable. I think I saw a singular one on eBay for about $360 so they seem about the same.

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

I'm not quite sure what route I want to go. I found a pair of Campfire Andromeda for $550 a couple of months ago but those have since sold. If they quote me a replacement its probably going to be ~$500 so I was thinking of just buying fiio fh7 or going all the way down to some KZ ZSX for $50-60

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

I'm not sure how many of you have had extensive experience with Shure's warranty repair support but I bought a pair of SE846 on eBay for $512 about a year ago. I got all the accessories with them and everything, but a month or two ago I noticed that the right bud was starting to split apart from...
