I did get an email telling me my unit had shipped on Mon, Nov 30 through Fedex. It was shipped from Jersey, so I would be curious how I would have received it earlier than people in the US. Although they could be shipping by order time, which mine was placed Thu, Sep 3.

I haven't had any luck. Looking at my system information they both have the same device name. Once I plug in an additional iFi device the other one stops and the system cannot figure out which device. In Audirvana only one device name shows up as well. I will try a USB to SPDIF solution, but...

FYI I'm currently using the micro iDSD Signature which is similar to the BL, and it is wonderful with the Aeolus. More than enough to drive them... I actually have my HD650 plugged into the 6.3 and and Aeolus in the 4.4 of the iDSD. I will swap around once in a while to compare the two...

I think that’s the more technical laymen explanation I needed. Attenuating at different stages is the key. So one should always prioritize with the power modes before using the IEMmatch to further attenuate the signal for their desired output. That is my understanding now. Thanks!

Thanks for your explanation. I do get that the IEM match were meant for sensitive IEMs, but when using my cans I feel like they both give a similar gain difference. I can have the Power Mode at Turbo and the IEMmatch at ultra sensitive and the volume level seems the same as having the PowerMode...
