Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

With the Poweroak K2’s I disconnect the charger from the mains in the morning and then reconnect them when I finish listening. So they charge overnight and are fully charged by the time I start listening. The charge lasts all day and evening.

I use Poweroak K2 batteries from the Netherlands to feed my TT2 and M scaler. I also use one to feed my Ether regen. Pretty happy with this set up. I’m fairly sure they’re the same as the Maxoak brand but I think the Poweroaks are cheaper.

Hi guys I’m looking for feet to go under my TT2 and M scaler (both sitting on glass tables) Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I use Poweroak K2 battery packs for my M scaler, TT2 and Ether regen. I believe they’re the same as the Maxoak ones but are quite a bit cheaper. I got them from the Netherlands. Very pleased with the results compared to stock PSU’s.

Anybody had any experience with the DXP1A5DSC dual stage dc voltage regulator supplying the TT2 and/or M scaler? I’ve got a single stage unit I’ve just reintroduced to my kit, with what seems to me, excellent results. It seems, though, that I’m getting better results when connected to my TT2...

I use two Poweroak K2 battery packs to feed my M scaler and TT2, with excellent results. I believe they’re a Dutch company, and I suspect the Maxoak power packs are very similar - if not the same - but seem more expensive if you are buying from the UK.

I have the Zen mk3 with my TT2 and M scaler. More than happy with the results, although can’t stop tweaking… Thoroughly recommend if it’s at a good price. 👍🏽

While I’m here perhaps I could get some advice on using an Opto-DX arrangement. I’m streaming from an Innuos Zen mk3, using a Sablon 2020 usb cable to feed an m scaler and TT2 using Wave Stream cables between. Is there any advantage to be had incorporating the Opto-DX into the circuit? Anybody...

Hi Vyyy I’m using a pair of Wave Stream cables along with three Poweroak batteries feeding my M scaler, TT2 and my Ether regen. All I can say is my system has never sounded as good as it does now. Definitely an improvement over the stock Chord power supplies. And I’m pretty sure I’m hearing...

I’ve just ordered another (third) Poweroak/Maxoak battery for my Ether Regen. My TT2 and M scaler are both powered by the Poweroaks, with very pleasing results, IMO definitely better than the stock ones. Has anybody else used battery power to supply their ER? And what did think of the resulting...

Changing the subject a bit, and please correct me if I’m in the wrong room with my problem/question. Last night I thought I’d give my poor hot Ether Regen a break by disconnecting the power - it feeds my Innuos Zen mk3 - overnight. But it seems to create a problem with my iPad recognising the...

    The Audio Lounge

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. As it happens I’ve just remembered that my arcam amp does have two sub outs. But I don’t suppose it matters if I use that or daisy chain the subs. I don’t think I’ll be adding anything major to the system for quite a while, and when I do I’ll probably...

Yes, thanks for your help. I have an arcam multi channel amp, which I pre out to a stereo amp, a Musical fidelity nu Vista 800. With the PV1 sub you can wire directly to the speaker terminals and set your frequency cut off point, or you can connect it via rca cable from your home cinema amp. I...

Hi guys, anyone on here who has two B&W PV1’s If I wire direct to speaker terminal on both subs and connect and daisy chain the rca cables, firstly is it ok to do both, and secondly when operating in home cinema mode from the amp, should I disconnect the speaker connections to the sub...

I have a pair of Poweroak 12v batteries connected to my TT2 and M scaler. I charge them up at night and once disconnected from the mains they last all day at least. Sound wise, an excellent choice and miles better than stock supplies. So I would thoroughly recommend them.

I don’t know whether it is or not, what I do know is my system sounds better than it ever has. But I intend buying another glass shelf to separate M scaler from the Innuos as soon as it comes back in stock. Another thing I’ve just changed is powering the TT2 with a Poweroak power bank, and the...

I’m getting my Poweroak from Holland, but I’ve noticed you can get what looks like an identical unit in the UK (Maxoak) but it’s quite a bit more expensive. I’ll give feedback once I’ve tried it out.

There are two outputs on this particular power bank, 12v and 20v. Obviously I’ll be using the 12v option for the M scaler and/or the TT2.

Well as long as I don’t plug it into the 20v outlet I should be fine, 12v being safe as. But how do the batteries stack up against the lpsu’s that I mentioned?
