The discovery thread!
How time flies... well, it’s time to give an update about the Himalayas I bought awhile ago. My first impression was, well, so-so to be honest. Stock cable is ok, nothing to complain much. Good connectors, good looks, good sound. Always there is something to be wanted more. Those nozzles...- Pankiwi

Deja-vu time!! :) That’s what I did as well! Actually I had a couple of thin foam pads from somewhere which I used to block highs. But let’s be honest - they sounded pretty good, concidering.. My next jump was Audeze 2c. Yeah...- Pankiwi

My new toy... It sounds goood :) Out of the box they were a bit rough, grainy and robust. After some 10-15 hours of running something happend.. they are more open, highly dynamic and sparkly. Btw, I tried to listen them with my Kato’s nozzles (fits in perfectly and those are longer), but I...- Pankiwi

Not always... Hifigo’s list of offerings is quite limited, comparing to AE. But yes, in general there’s better pricing on Hifigo.- Pankiwi

For the price, it has to be. Btw, I’m using some Oyaide 102SSC cables and they do it’s job very well. NiceHCK MoonGod is also on my radar, same theme with silver coating.- Pankiwi

Ha, could be that my ears are off...or there’s a chance I’m not an iem person (in that case my attempt to improve my listening experience with the Himalayas will collapse to dust and I will stop pushing onward). Lucklily my main rig sounds lovely - Pankiwi

;) you’re only scratching the surface. With the proper equipment, there’s so much difference between dsd and lower hi-res. I listen mostly sacd rips and native dsd recordings, for my DAP there’s files starting from PCM 24-88 and up (gave up using dsd, due to the limited storage space). I can’t...- Pankiwi

Maybe I’m too picky, but the Katos are not my taste. The upper end is so off, it just doesn’t sound natural to me. Maybe (maybe) they don’t cope well with DX220 amp1, didn’t try with my other sources. I could be wrong. Moving on to use the Himalaya.. who knows..- Pankiwi

NiceHCK Earphones (Thoughts and impressions)
If the Hifigo store sells this thing say 350eur/tax/customs paid, with free ship (from 50eur and up) to EU, then from Ebay US add 30usd to ship to EU plus there will be added an import tax from the paid sum (this example: 380usd in total), which is 22% and probably some customs fee (few eur)...- Pankiwi

You lucky basterds... it will be cost about 450eur to get it to EU. Shipping, taxes, handling. No good. Germany’s Ebay store shows zero so far. We wait. No harm.- Pankiwi
