thanks for the info! yeah I was pretty much sold on the Sparrow until I started hearing about how unreliable they can be. now that I've stumbled on the W2 maybe that's the way to go. I do prefer the look and size of the sparrow...but obviously that's not as important as SQ or the damn thing...

I tried that and it seemed to mess with the other frequencies a bit. Maybe I just wasn't using a super sophisticated EQ program. If I'm spending that much on an IEM, I'd like it sound right without any additional tweaks on my part, you know?

wow those do look very wide. but the stems also look shorter than mest. i might be wrong but those iems do not look disgned for same type of deep insertion as MEST seems to require to experience BCD properly. can only speak to my own exp and disappointments/frustrations with MEST
