ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!

I have just one issue with the Neo 3 and it is fit. I half expected it to be a slightly more comfortable Serial, but it is quite a bit worse for my ear and I've tried a bunch of tips. Something about the stem and shell shape gets my ears fatigued in less than an hour. I don't want to sell them...

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!

After a long wait I got the Neo 3 and I'm afraid to say I'm liking it more than the Serial. The Serial is real good at what it does, and I love it dearly with live music, but I felt the lower mids were a bit dry (with female vocals especially) and the top end sparkle was missing. Stunning...

It might be a crime but the 5K with the fake NOS filter is significantly less harsh than the standard filter

Anybody tried the Serials on a newer KZ AZ adapter? I tried to wear them on the Shure tws but the fit was terrible.

    New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)

One of my drivers got disconnected and I lost all left earcup. What's the best way to open up one of these? After a year with 600 and 6XX I miss em. A 2khz boost is all they need to make me want to listen to music all night.

    Schiit Audio Bifrost 2

I haven't listened to MM2 to BF2/64 side by side, but if I were to do it again I'd just get two MM2. Only reason I got the Bifrost was because it lives in my living room setup as a dual system for TV and music so having the remote is plenty handy.

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!

Thank you! I got the Serial so that is perfect. I'd go out and buy one right now if I hadn't just gotten the Raptgo Bridge which is quite impressive for the price. I'll keep waiting to see what you guys think of it. Is it as power hungry as the Serial?

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!

The shells on the NEO 3 look quite tiny and therefore comfy, anybody got a pic that better visualizes their size?

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

Actually that's when I used the 500s the most, right before bedtime, I had a headphone rig for night sessions and the weight wasn't an issue. But primarily for me WFH time is headphone listening time so I'm usually at the desk.

    RAPTGO HOOK-X In Ear Monitor

To be fair it was used so it probably got swapped. I'm picky with cable ergonomic so I was gonna use my own regardless.

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

The headband is kinda why I sold my HE500. Even with the zmf headband cushion the weight was s bit much if you don't have much hair on top. I didn't want to bother with a headband swap either. But they were the headphones I would grab whenever someone came to the house and I wanted to share the...

    RAPTGO HOOK-X In Ear Monitor

I had a BTG Audio cable lying around I wasnt using and it's more comfortable. Mine came with a fairly heavy microphonic purple cable. Also went straight for my azla max tips as they fatigue my ears less. I was hoping these wouldn't change that much between dacs/source, but they sound better the...

    Source for Apple Music

All of my systems have a chromecast audio hooked up to it, and on Android Apple Music has casting. So that's my go-to for everything. It matches the song's bit rate without issues.

    Looking for low end grunge

EQ is worth it's weight in gold. No DAC change is gonna be that noticeable. Source is pretty important to me, but at best it's a 10-20% improvement and it's only really noticeable when critically listening.

    RAPTGO HOOK-X In Ear Monitor

I just got scored the Bridge for $90 and they're pretty impressive. I also ended up with the gold filter, the other ones feel like they blunt edges. Sure it's smoother, but I don't find the gold filter particularly piercing. I also wasn't a fan of the mids with the silver filter. In fact, I...

PLANAR IEMs fans thread-Impressions, suggestions, ranking list, techs

Have you tried the P1s with an EQ? I honestly can't listen to mine without it, so they live on the Qudelix whenever I use them. You can't beat the size of the shells and the sound is pretty good once EQed. I've started getting tinnitus last year after a goddamn concert where I had earplugs in...

IEMs for sleeping - any others to try?

I use my OG P1s for that since they're pretty low profile and MMCX means I won't bend pins. I got shallow tips on them so they fall off instead of being pulled while I sleep. Mandatory Qudelix because they sound like ass without EQ. I just got some Shokz, mainly because I'd rather not have...

    Schiit Modi Multibit 2 DAC

I feel the same way, on both the 2/64 on my speaker system and MM2 with the Vali 2, I prefer NOS 90% of the time. I just prefer the softer overall presentation, I don't know if NOS affects imaging much, at least I haven't noticed. I feel MCB has this strident feeling in female vocals which is...

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

That's how I have mine as well, I liked the perf lamb pads the best on them, the other ones keep the treble too sleepy (it still kinda is). But it's perfect for tv/gaming/background music because of it. And there's decent bass I feel like both those headphones benefit from more power than the...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

My first experience with 600s was with the new ones, tried them for 2 weeks and found the high-mids to be too pushy and edgy to the point my ears distorted even at low volumes. Then I went and got a marble pair and honest to god they're not as sharp, and my ears don't distort unless I really...

    Schiit Audio Bifrost 2

Or hate it :p But yes it's really good at cutting sibilance compared to nos.

    Schiit Modi Multibit 2 DAC

I kinda want to sell my 2/64 and get 2 MM2s or maybe even another Mimby to mod with opamps. Edit: It's hitting the chopping block, PM me if you want a Bifrost 2/64.

    Schiit Audio Bifrost 2

I like my 2/64, but I do notice it's slightly v-shaped. It changes voices too much for me, NOS does make them sound more natural, but we all know there's drawbacks with that, it's just not extended enough on a speaker setup to be really fun for me. For now though, I'm happy garbling up the...

    The PENON official thread

For the price, it has nuance like an HD600. And to it's detriment or not, I can tell when it's driven well or not, the bass goes to mulch, so I find it a blast to listen to on higher end gear. I don't hunt much in the iem space, the comfort issues make the difference between a $1k pair and the...
