I, too, use the 1266 and Susvara with a WA33 JPS. I think they're both great. The only thing I'll point out is that I prefer the Susvara when listening to jazz and classical and basically anything acoustic. The 1266 handles everything else. The Susvara is also infinitely more comfortable so...

I 10000% agree with this take. I thought the Susvara was pretty meh when I was using it with my WA33, but when I switched to the Coda no. 8... Game-changer. Now I tend to use my Susvara over everything else.

These descriptions of the Utopia sound promising but if it has a smaller soundstage than th Susvara... That's a red flag for me.

I think the TC is the closest to my description, but they're so uncomfortable. And I still prefer the Susvara and HD800s for classical and most jazz.

That does make it very easy. My thinking was that I'd use the WA33 to add weight and meat to the mids and bass, not my DAC. Do you feel it's a bit overkill using the May AND the WA33 for that. Or is your sense that the WA33 doesn't really add much weight and meat to the mids and bass?

Lovely. I think we'll have very similar chains. My plan was Tambaqui - WA33 JPS. I think, depending on what you write out, I might try Holo May KTE first, then try to test out a Tambaqui later. Either way I'm set on the WA33, I'm just torn between JPS SE and JPS EE. Hopefully, I'll get some...
